Not only does it seal very well, it peels away just as easy without having to cut it and there is no waiting time for it to dry. It can be applied even in the rain (if you chose to do that sort of thing). I've had one block and only used about 1/10 of it in a year's time. I was told by my dealer that the bulbs in clearance lights go out so often due to road vibration.
Must be those "Made In China" bulbs. Our motorhome is 12 years old and has almost 100,000 miles on the odometer. So far the only bulbs we've had to replace are the 2 lower beam headlights. That's probably because they're on at 60% power as running lights anytime the coach is moving.

Bulbs are from Napa. I assume it's a cheap fixture.
We like the way our Motorhome is done. All of our "Clearance Lights" are "Permantely Sealed". They all are changed out from the inside of our Motorhome.
But any "Caulking", I perfer to use "Dicor" only. And I also use "Butyal Putty" also, only. So far in the 45+ years as RV'ers, we have never had a "Leak of any Kind, so far, and never plan on having one, as I do inspect our RV's Roofs at least twice a year, without fail.
So far, are Motorhme is 14 years old, and not so much as a pin hole or any leaks. We do how ever have to remove some Paneling to get to the bulbs, but its very eay and quick to do.
Just one less things to have to worry about Caulking. Just another good point about Rexhall Motorhomes. They do build pretty good Motorhomes, as they are still in Business today, that should tell you something about about a good company.
So far, we haven't had any isues at all with our Rexhall. Of coarse, I'm a real "Nut Case" when it comes to "Proventive Maintance Programs". I have done all of my own RV "Fixs" and "Repairs" or "Mods", myself, as I have yet to find anything thatis that hard to do myslef.
