Great campground, we have been there several times. A bit pricey but has full hook-ups and a great view with a small beach. Our problem was that we were booked for 5 nights with full hook-ups and at the last minute our son and his wife and one granddaughter wanted to come up and spend 2 nights with us. They allowed them to stay on our site but charged them full price for both nights, it cost them $80.00 for 2 nights of camping in a small tent, and they ONLY take cash. I understand fully that they should be charged , even at $10 PP per night , the campground would have made plenty. My husband spoke to 3 different people about this and the only answer we got was "those are the rules!!!!" The campground received double the cost of the campground rates on the same site for those 2 nights, instead of charging them a guest fee for 2 nights. I cannot say we will never camp there again because we like the place but we will never allow family to join us, unless they want to get their own site. We checked out a couple of other places and asked them about this and they quoted us $8 to $10 PP per night for guests. We have never had this issue before and we have camped for many years. We are courteous and quiet campers and obey the rules. Just think people should know this "rule". Has anyone else had a similar problem ????

Here is what I would do:
Write a letter telling them how much you enjoyed the campground and specifically which things you appreciate.

Then after the compliments, share your misgivings about the fees and give the names and fees of other campgrounds who charge less. Close the letter with a cordial sign-off.

Send the letter to the owner of the campground and see what happens. Worst case, you will hear nothing. Best case, they may refund some money.
