Oh bugger... how to begin this, been a member of RV.net (I view it through woodalls portal, I prefer green to blue) since 2003, not too long after I had bought my first pick up a 1990 Dodge D-150 5.2L v8 long box regular cab with the 3 speed automatic transmission of crapiness.

I had been searching for information on campers and what you could put on a half ton truck and came across posts from this site and the rest is history.

Since then I've made several attempts (3 in total) at getting a truck camper, the last one being the success. The first camper I tried buying as a 1972 8' Dynacruiser that was nice and fully self contained, but wound up being a rot box. Second camper was nicer, a 1973 KIT 10' Slide in, but it really was way too much for the half ton truck and I sold it 4 days after buying it and causing a lot of grief and trouble with it.

Last attempt involved a lot more brains and searching, 30+ used campers in all, most suffering from the same problem (Rot Boxes) as the first.

Finally found my KIT Kamper I have now and love.

Inbetween the now of having upgraded to a 3/4 ton truck and obtained a full size camper, I used to do my camping with this setup:

This is my old half ton and my Chuckwagon. On its back is my Pullman Mini Camper, made from an old Aluminum frame canopy my parents had had from when I was little. There's a link to it in my signature.

Aside from my adventures in getting my camper, I generally am a camping nut, any excuse to go I will try to use if I can round up the money.

I'm am possessed of a BS in Software Design and Engineering, minored in Business, so basically I'm trained to build an online version of a brick and mortar business.
