The Big Rock
2007 Rockwood 8314SS 34 foot travel trailer towed by 2004 Ford F-150 HD. GVWR or 8200 lb (3,000 lb payload) and tows a maximum trailer weight of 10,000 lb. Our GCW is 14,000 lb. We opted for a larger trailer since retirement has resulted in our spending about half the year living in the trailer and traveling around the country.
More about skipnchar
RV experience began in 1957 with my parents Go-Lite Lark 13' travel trailer towed by 1955 Buick Special V-8 STICK SHIFT.
Worked for 35 years in the graphic arts industry and took an early retirement from my position as Director of Printing for the State of Kansas. Retirement date was March 12, 2004.
Charlotte retired at the same time as me. She had been care-giver to our 11 grand children for the last 15 years. The pay was poor but the perks were fantastic.
Have no plans of "full timeing" but will be taking several trips each year that will last a month or two each. In between trips we will be camping at local lakes with friends and family. Always enjoy meeting new people with similar interests. Happy RVing to all.
