Grew up on a wheat farm/cattle ranch in the Bickleton area of Washington State. Joined the Navy in '62 and got out in '66. Knocked around for 5 years driving truck, logging, working for farmers, etc. and went into the Coast Guard in '71. Never looked back. The Coast Guard retired me in Feb '97 with 30 years 2 months service. Moved to Fallon NV upon retirement. Went to local Community College for a couple of years on Viet Nam Era GI bill, then went to work as electronic tech. for Lockheed/Martin in 2000. L/M lost the contract in Sep. '05 and I turned 62 same month.
Darn the bad luck. We sold the house and went fulltiming.
