RE: CW's folding bikes

We have a pair. They are good for what they are designed for. They should fit in the basement of a coach. Even folded, they take up a good bit of space. I fold ours and lay them in the bed of the truck. I'm happy we decided to get the 6 speed instead of the single.

I'll have to second Drunken Jack's at Murrell's Inlet. Never heard of Bubba's but will defintily give it a try.

RE: Charlston, SC

Thank you for all the compliments describing our city. Definitely do a walking or carriage tour downtown. Folly Beach (The Edge of America) is about a 10 minute drive away and worth seeing the Atlantic Ocean. You can spend an entire day at Patriots Point exploring the USS Yorktown (the Fighting Lady) and several other boats. One place that seems to get overlooked is Fort Moultrie which was used from the Revolutionary War through WWII and why our state flag has the Palmetto tree and crescent moon on a blue background. It is part of our National Parks located on Sullivan's Island on the Atlantic Ocean. If you enjoy excellent food, there are several restaraunts downtown that have been featured in magazines and TV shows. Don't be afraid to ask a local who their favorite is (mine is Cru Cafe in the Market St area). Boone Hall Plantation is in Mt Pleasant. Drayton Hall, Magnolia Gardens and Middleton Place Gardens are West Ashley on Hwy 61. Charlestowne Landing is also West of the Ashley; it is where Charleston was originally settled (not on the peninsula) and part of SC Parks. You have plenty to see and do so choose wisely or just plan to come back real soon. JICP is a great CG. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I won't be near my computer next week, but I will respond asap. Have fun!

RE: 5ver for a 3/4 ton couple

Hello fellow Charlestonian, We just purchased a Winnebago Lite Five 30FWRES. Dry weight is roughly 9000#'s and pin weight roughly 1600#'s. I'm the type who prefers to be conservative on the weights and I want to be comfortable pulling in the mountains. I considered a Jayco Eagle 31.5RES (i think that's the model #) however the dry weight was around 11K #'s and pin weight was around 2200#'s, I felt I was too close (probably over) to maxing out the TV's pin weight capacity (payload). I know a lot of people are fine with that type of set up and that's fine with me, I'm just not comfortable with it. Anyway, we're going to Clemson in a few weeks and I'll be happy to let you know how it goes if you like. If you want more info on the Winne we just purchased, feel free to PM me. BTW, our previous 5ver was a Jayco that weighed around 6200#'s dry and 1100#'s on the pin. The TV didn't break a sweat with that one. Good Luck!

Purchase made at CW Charleston, SC

Well, I have to change my sig from a 2006 Jayco 27.5RKS to a 2013 Winnebago 30FWRES. I must say the entire experience was very positive from our salesman, sales manager and finance. We caught a few minor blemishes during our walk thru. Notes were made; we're going to do a shake down trip in a couple weeks; make a list and have the repairs done. Simple.

RE: Deposit made on Winnebago Lite Five

Thanks Loon17 and FordForMe. The 2 biggest reasons for looking is I can stand up in the bedroom and we wanted a larger bathroom. Other pluses are 2 more slides, gell coated fiberglass and power everything including Intellijack leveling. Can't wait to go somewhere now.

Deposit made on Winnebago Lite Five

We put the deposit down on a 30FWRES. We'll be trading the Jayco after many years of fun. I know Winne has a good name for service after the sale of thier motorhomes so I hope this holds true for thier fivers too. I did a search on this and several other forums without find very many negative comments so we'll see. Any comments from Winne owners is appreciated. The deal won't be completed for another week or so. Will post pics as soon as possible. Wish us luck.

RE: Grumbine's RV - Harrisburg, PA

It's good to see positive experiences with CW. We began a purchase yesterday on a 5ver at CW in Charleston, SC. The camper will be in next week. I'll give a full report after the sale is complete.
