RE: Onan/Cummins - HGJAB 5.5 Gas - Quits, wont stay running.

same thing happened to a member in our group, we bypassed tank and still same thing you state above... as soon as it got hot, boom nothing it would die.
ended up in the shop and fuel pump was to blame. ended up with a new card as well for good measure... works a charm now.

RE: Vortex II Fan Install Noise Comparison Video

Great video,I also replaced mine in the bathroom and tried the same experiment today on it. The sound level is lower at about 68 on high and 58 0n medium and 54 on slow. but who knows how accurate they are but I'm pleased with it. It is much quieter than the old one.And moves much more air. I also have the Maxx Air Cover over it.
I also noticed that you saw the advantage of sucking air in thru your windows. To help cool the RV. I found that after I made This Mod In my door that I got even more air into the RV. They are 2 of the best and simplest mods I have made, page 4 shows the one in my door.
Haha, funny you mention this. I had been looking for a week or so now on how to cover window in my door, i cant see through it, and the sun seems to hit it just at the right angel to blind me when feeding my son or watching tv... I dont mind the window otherwise ( i painted the yellow plastic outside LOL!)
BUT NOW, clearly...i NEED this EDWIN contraption. I cant imagine being able to see out the door! wow!

Vortex II Fan Install Noise Comparison Video

Hey Guys,
Saw a thread earlier about the Vortex vent fan replacement and after a ton of reading I bought one and figured I would make a video to clear up some stuff about which fan is louder etc.
I didn't want to replace my whole vent hole with the more expensive fans that require ton of work.

RE: Corrugated or smooth siding. Personal choice?

ive had both,
im pretty sure the smooth fiberglass weighs a TON more than the aluminum. The fiberglass takes way more work to get shiny again, the aluminum was just soap and water with a sponge, no need for rotary buffers and polishes.

RE: Home Made Air Bags for Leveling RV's

kinda cool you wouldn't have to worry about how many blocks to put under the tires, just more air!
BUT i cant imagine the stability will be that great - not falling off or anything but rather imagine walking on an air mattress... always slightly moving.

RE: led lighting upgrade cost

I ordered a bunch of plug and play replacement bulbs on ebay from different companies to try out (usually around 4-5 bucks each) and once I found the one i liked best I contacted the seller directly and asked for a bulk discount (20 bulbs)
I was pleasantly surprised when i was offered $2.60 per bulb.... now i have extras :-)

RE: Built in generator noise levels

I have a generac in the front of my eclipse - its in the bathroom under the wardrobe. When its running and the bathroom door is closed its hardly noticable. if your in the bathroom, say...on the throne you notice it for sure but its not above normal speaking level. I dont mind it one bit.

RE: Carbon Monoxide issue with new TH

My first sensor was super sensitive... it was detecting but just overly so.
One trip in the winter it was going off constantly. Even had the big back door open. In the end I literally punched it off the wall with my fist and snipped the wires with some dykes.
Bought a new sensor online and wired it up... hasn't gone off again.

I feel that TIME is more of a factor with those china tires rather than miles.... 2 years or so max before i get REALLY nervous.

Got sick and tired of having NO counter space what so ever.....
So I cut a piece of wood, stained and sealed and got some folding brackets...

RE: For those who converted 15" to 16"

I went from 225/75/15 to 235/85/16 - A tire that is about 4" inches larger overall (BFG Commercial)
I started with a gap of 6.75" between the tires and now have about 2.5" between as best as I can measure.
No issues what so ever - but only about 350 miles on them so far.
