RE: Mystery switches & window blinds

We have 2 on each side of our Beaver coach. Ours will turn on without the ignition on. Some RV's require the key in the on position. If your lights are not working you may have a bad bulb or ground. They come in handy when trying to park in the dark.
Let us know what you find out Curious posters want to know.

RE: Lighted assist handle

Give www.nwrvsupply.com a call. They have a very large amount of discontinued parts.
May want to check EBAY also.
Worth a try.

RE: Shurflow pump won't work

If you can disconnect the terminals AT the pump and jump them with 12 volt ..... try it first. This making sure it's grounded etc.

RE: ELECTRICAL PROBLEM

Electrical situations sometimes are a witch hunt and many of us will advise differently with lots of advice.
First question will be: are the cables on the new batteries exactly as removed from old. Sometimes turning the main switch off and turning back on will re-boot. My two cents.

RE: Aqua hot question

We have a portable 110 electric heater. Various styles at Lowes. Vary in price from $35 - $60. Try not to run heavy amp appliances while it's on in the living area. We sleep cold so don't need to use it in the bedroom.

RE: Leveling jack is broke

Hey good folks,
I have a 2000 National Seabreeze and my right front leveling jack is losing hydraulic fluid. I really don't want to fix it this year. What's the worst that can happen? It won't lower? It can't get stuck in the down position can it?
~Thanks, John
My opinion ....!!??? Never put off repairs!!! When something is broke .... FIX IT!!

RE: Rear Radiator vs Side on Diesel Pusher?

I would only look at a side unit -- just so much easier to access and service, not to mention all the dirt that will collect on the rear radiator causing the engine to run just a little hotter and last ?
After being in construction for 30 year when we started our search we never even looked at a rear radiator unit, just didn't make sense.
JMHO,
Ditto !!!!!!!!!!

RE: MICE>>>>>

Yes, it's good to locate where they enter and block it off .... but .... also pretend the coach is like your home. Set mouse traps in specific parts of storeage areas and cupboards. It's simple!!

RE: Towing MKX/Edge

We have an 07 MKX ... original owners. I installed a hot line from the coach thru the Umbilical cord to the battery so that it would charge while driving the coach. Also within the hot line under the hood installed an inline diode so as to NOT have back feed to the coach. Without it (before I installed it) when turning the coach ignition off ... the engine keep running. My MKX battery (before the hot line) would get weak on long runs because the GPS would continue running along with whatever is hooked up when the ignition is in aux position.

RE: oregon in august

Try the River RV park in Harrisburg if you come down to the Eugene area. Quiet, well maintained and sits right on the Willamette River. From this site it's not a long drive to either the coast, Mountains, Sisters or Bend. + the fishing is GREAT on the McKenzie!!

RE: chassis battiers run down

The chassis battiers only operate the motor, motor control center, and the dash. Everthing else operates off the house battiers. Their have been know problems with the house battiers. I have installed battier disconnect, put that dos'nt fix the problem. But we can still use coach.
NOT only the motor, motor control center, and the dash.....
the chassis batteries usually ALSO operate the starter, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, horn, all toad lights, heater blower, cab air, vacuum generator, (aka: pump), air compressor for the PacBrake/air horns, windshield washer wiper, heated mirrors and others.
Also, usually dash radio memory.

RE: Pads for hydraulic jacks

4 x 6's x 8 inches long. Serve as not needing the jacks elongated as far also. Added an eye hook for the front of coach single jack. They also stack easily.

RE: Diesel Fuel Spike ....

I remember several/several years ago 60/70's the USA president would get on his airplane and go talk to the Arabs asking to reduce oil prices. I wonder if our present guy should go to Wall Street and ask those guys to stop bidding so high on the futures!!!! Are we shooting our ownselves in the foot!!??
