RE: Wood Rot on a 2000 Coleman Cheyenne Camper
I had a roof leak on my Dutchmen and had the wood rot out above the door. To repair I trimmed off the outer skin back to the good wood, then scraped off all the rotted wood using a rasp to shave it smooth. Then fit a 1/2" plywood piece as a replacement. I used a water resistant heavy duty construction glue that was also rated to fill gaps. Smoothed it all down, and painted it when dry. It's held well so far (2+ years).
RE: Good place for tires?
The best price I found was from TrailerPartsSuperstore.com
http://shop.easternmarine.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&categoryID=158
Pre-mounted and shipped the price was about $30 less than anything local. Only other option I found was Wal-Mart, but the local stores were all out of the size I needed when I checked in the spring. (I guess everyone was replacing tires then)
