RE: Sidewall Materials on 5ers

Thanks Skip. I am going from 34 Lakota which is 35' 6" down to around 31 foot and 4000 pounds lighter. Also, 4 1/2 feet shorter in new rig I am looking at from kingpin to front of front tire. Should be much easier backing.

Sidewall Materials on 5ers

I currently have a 5er that has Gelcoat Fiberglass Exterior Walls. I am looking to downsize length and weight wise. The rig I am looking at is either the Heartland Sundance or the Heartland Eagle Ridge, both of which have laminated fiberglass sidewalls. I have two questions" 1. What is difference? I assume the Gelcoat Fiberglass is better but not a choice on what I am looking at. From anyone's experience can you tell me your opinion and how the Laminated Fiberglass holds up wax wise and coloring. 2. Any opinions between the Heartland Sundance and the Heartland Eagle Ridge?

Looking for new 5th wheel

Currently I own a McKenzie Lakota 35 ft. I am considering selling and going shorter. I have looked at the Heartland Eagle Ridge Model 29SBRL and the Keystone Cougar Mountaineer. Both have very similar shorter units that we like the floorplan. Does anyone have any experience with either of these units. I am interested in quality and customer service from factory if necessary.
