RE: Is there a "bluebook" for class B vans?

NADA for class B vans is very subjective and I personally found it not much help. Check out prices offered on websites selling rv's for a better idea of high and correct prices. Then look at average price for a certain year.

RE: water pump

Problem solved!!!!
Question remains???
Apparently the switch above the sink has nothing to do with the water pump.... Located the pump switch on the "monitor panel" and pump operates as expected... Good pink water both sides, hot & cold!!!
Question remaining..... What is the function of the switch above the sink; below the hot water switch?? When switched on, I hear definite sound a motor running, but can't find where or what it is.
I sounds as if you did not turn off the hot water heater and anti freeze is coming from both hot and cold areas. If this is true you need to shut off valves to hot water and drain the tank

RE: How long is the fresh tank fresh?

Temperature makes a difference and considering the tanks are under the rig the water could be cooler or much warmer. I sure wouldn't drink unfiltered water.

RE: Front door bug screens

The back door screen I did as a one piece all around the opening. It is easy to just lift the bottom and sides to have access. I get eaten alive by no-seeums and this enables me to leave windows open when weather permits. I don't leave the side screens on when the van is moving as the magnets are not strong enough to hold in place.

RE: Front door bug screens

They do make magnetic strip you can cut to length and sew into the entire edge of a screen. It comes on 10' and 25' rolls either a half or inch wide. It's flexible, can be rolled up when storing the screen, and won't harm the paint. Amazon sells it by the roll. Costs $11-$12 per roll. I'm planning on using it for my side windows.
AS for screen, I would go with the nylon they have now thats dog and cat proof. I replaced our sliding door screen 4 years ago with it and the cats climb up it and don't leave a single mark or rip. It's also flexible and can be rolled up.
I purchased no-seeum screen for our front side windows. I used the magnetic strip 1/2 inch, but instead of sewing I folded it around the screen and used gorilla glue to attach to the screen. It does a great job of protecting from the no-seeums and mosquitos. I did the same thing on our back door opening. Very happy with the results

RE: B1 Berea Photo needed

I am trying to collect hat photos of the bees. I would appreciate it if anyone who has photos from B1 at Berea, Kentucky when we had to wear hats for Derby Day would post them. When I tell people about our horse race and Derby day hats they don't believe me..
Thanks for posting any pictures you have.
Sally, the pics I had on my Picassa account were lost when my previous computer crashed. I have the pics on a CD, but unable to transfer those to my computer or anywhere else. Any ideas or help I would appreciate.

RE: Vent recommendations or warnings

I had a problem with the motor on my Fantastic Fan...It was 9 years old. I called the factory, they replaced the fan motor, and added the rain sensor at no charge. They even called me two weeks later to be sure the fan was working properly and I was satisfied. This is service!! The fan works great, moves the air exceptionally well and is very quiet. I am a fan..pun intended..for life

RE: Cabinets

We had GreatWest build us a cabinet to install in place of one seat. It matches the other furniture, and a double door, and has one side for hanging clothes or box items and the other with shelves. Also has a door opening near the bottom for misc. items. Still have 3 seats and can reinstall the 4th if we ever want too.

RE: Insurance

A few important facts...some states AAA covers RV's and others they do not. Every state is independent of the other. You cannot buy a total coverage umbrella policy using your home, etc. (verified this with 3 different companies) that will totally cover your RV. I personally found only GMAC thru Good Sam would cover all my vehicles and my motorhome components..such as damage to items never carried or part of an automobile coverage. Hopefully you will never need the insurance, but please be careful.
I must add that this post is not for entertainment as one poster adds to his, but hopefully to offer important information

RE: Insurance

I would agree with GMAC. Had it for 7 years, used twice for the van and once for one of my cars. Good service and the price was right.
