RE: Monaco Diplomate2013 VS Newmar Duchstar 2011 3734 with 1900M

Newmar's Comfort Drive is very attractive but in this case I'd take the Diplomat without question.
The Diplomat's tag axle trumps the CD and so may other features like Aqua Hot, besides being a 2013 model. Mileage is irrevelant but being 2 years newer is another factor in the choice of the Monaco.
Good luck

RE: New iPhone 5 apps

Never ask a man what kind of smartphone he has. If it's an Iphone, he'll tell you. If not, why embarrass him.. :)

RE: Please read what this forum is about before posting

Appears to me that the cinch may be set a little too tight! That was my first impression. Then again, there could be a burr directly under the saddle's seating area causing an unwanted pucker.

RE: A/C units

Both fan and compressor capacitors checked or replaced, as it can't start with a bad capacitor and a common occurance?
Any fans froze and giving it a spin will get it going? Then taking it apart and applying some lube might keep it going for a long time.
With no cooling, you could have lost some refrigerant and a tech might solder in some fittings and charge it back up reasonable.
In fact, it might pay in the long run, to have a tech look into the situation. You'd have to find one awfully hungry tech to get him involved in anything like this because its a no win situation for him. He simply can't charge enough to make it worthwhile.

RE: Campgrounds near Coeur d Alene ID

Aside: when we were there, there was some kind of Prevost rally..about 15 huge, beautiful coaches - some had full sized Hummers as toads.
Really friendly bunch. Invited us to join in a pot luck.No doubt you are a friendly guy yourself and even though you have a travel trailer you did not look down on the Prevost crowd and consider them beneath your dignity.
It works both ways - so everyone gets along just fine. :B

RE: Is it safe to use normal garden hose for water??

Safe? yes. Smelly? maybe. And you're sanitizing, which means you'll probably drain it anyway. And do you drink your tank water?X2
Forget all those other hand wringers - 2oldman is the only one using common sense.

RE: Electrical Issue

I have a class C and now know that I was hooked up to 240V.:h Please explain how this was possible. The power cord on Class C's is usually a 30 amp, three wire.
For the rest, reset the GFCI's.

RE: Awning question what is too much wind

Our Girard awning makes the decision to automatically retract @ 20 mph wind speed thereby relieving me of any responsibility and relieving my wife the job of chewing me out if I fail.

RE: Mexico Pacific Coast water Temps!

I'll bet the sport fishing boat Captains out of Los Angeles or San Diego will know.
They are driven to a large degree to seek water temps conducive to the catch.

RE: It Is So Worth It To Have A Great Steak

The filet mignon is a very good cut of beef. Wrap them with baconNow why would anyone wrap a cheap strip of fat from a pig around a good cut of beef? Who started such nonsense? :h

drop it into the Pacific Ocean over the Trench in the dark of the night. This is the ONLY sure way that it will never be recoverd. You must have missed the news, but the first manned dive to the deepest part of the Mariana trench was in 1960, and James Cameron took a submersible to the bottom of the Mariana Trench last year.Aw Jeeze... There's evidence of a prior wife and my business partner down there - rest their souls.. :C
