I too have the Sterling and keep it clean, but it still sticks from time to time. Click here to view the Sterling owner's manual.
Hope this helps.

RE: Liquid Roof Opinions

Thanks to all of you for sharing information on this topic. I'm still undecided as to what action I'm going to take. The rubber roof is 13 years old but does not have leaks (knock on wood) nor any signs of cracking.
I called Dicor and spoke with a woman in tech support. I explained that I was thinking about coating the roof and looking for advice. She said the roof should last 20 to 25 yrs with proper cleaning. She said if my roof is not cracking or showing up with "alligator" cracks, then just leave it as it is. She said it is not necessary to coat it if there are no problems.
So still undecided at this time.

RE: What is the best thing to see in Hershey?

I agree, the Harley factory tour is good. Also, just 30 minutes from Hershey is Harrisburg - the capital for PA. Its worth it to tour the capital building.

Liquid Roof Opinions

As long as I have frequented this forum the topic of roof repair has been debated with much enthusiasm and an expansive variety of opinions. So, the rubber roof on my MH has reached its 13th year of service and is still in respectable condition. However, rather than wait untill a problem accurs I would like to coat the roof with a good reliable product.
After reading many of the postings concerning this subject, it seems that Liquid Roof gets some of the highest positive reviews.
For those that have used Liquid Roof:
1. What has been your experience with this product?
2. Can I expect to get more than 42 sq ft coverage from a gallon?
3. Where can I get the best price?
4. What other info can you share with me about Liquid Roof?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this posting and I appreciate whatever help you can provide.

RE: Roof Tune-Up

It would cost approximately $800 for a 30 foot sheet of Dicor rubber roof plus the cost of caulking plus glue which would easily bring the cost in excess of $1200 without labor.
So, if you are trying to get a few more years of life the coating might be the more practical, cost effectiv option.

RE: Roof Tune-Up

Puckerbush....
Thanks so much for the info. Our 1996 MH is getting to the point of needing the roof refreshed too. The rubber is still in good condition but would benefit from a coating. Last fall I did all the edge seams using Dicor Non sag Lap Sealant (1 tube) and around the vents using Dicor Self Leveling Lap Sealant (5 tubes). The price at my local RV store was about $6 per tube and the product is great. The completed job looks great and very professional.
Your posting gave me the confidence to tackle the coating project. What Dicor product did you use to coat the roof?
Thanks again.

RE: Any Campgrounds around Pittsburg airport area ?????

We visit family in Pittsburgh and have not been able to find anything real close to where we want to be. In September we are making another Pittsburgh visit and this time we plan to stay at Pine Cove Beach Resort & RV Park. Last time in Pittsburgh we drove over to this CG and found it to be quite nice. My son and family stayed there earlier this month and found it to be good. Click here for reviews on the CG.
Looking at the map the Pittsburgh International Airport is located about 55 miles north west of the CG and can be reached in about 65 minutes via major highways.
While in Pittsburgh be sure to visit Mount Washington for a breath taking panoramic view of downtown Pittsburgh and also be sure to ride the Incline. If you have children take time to visit Kenneywood Park.
Hope this helps.

RE: Any Good Campgrounds in PA Along I-76 (by Pittsburgh)?

I would suggest you try Pine Cove Beach Resort.
Click here to read reviews on the park. I think you will be pleased.
We have stayed at the KOA before and treated badly by the owner. They wanted to charge me over $600 to stay 12 days in a muddy, partially completed site. This KOA is expensive.

RE: CG choices in Gettysberg & Lancaster, PA

teoff.....
While in Gettysburg be sure to visit the new tourist center and view the movie and also take the trip to the Eisenhower Farm. While in Lancaster be sure to take a buggy ride and have either breakfast, lunch or dinner at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. You will never again find anything that compares to Shady Maple.

RE: 1992 P37 Chev 454 exhaust leak

In 2004 I had Gibsons place on my 1996 Georgie Boy Cruisemaster with a 454 TBI Chevy engine. The work was done by Camping World in New Jersey at a cost of $1336. Before the work was started I found the mechanic that was going to be doing the job. I gave him $30 and asked him to please do the very best job he can do.
I have been very pleased with the results. Before adding the Gibsons the engine often ran hot...no more heat issues. Also, I noticed I could pull hills with less downshifting of the trans. I really don;t think I saw any increase in mpg.
If you need more info please feel free to send me a message.
Hope info this helps.
