RE: Vin and Serial number versus title

Vehicles are not titled until sold. So the chassis could have been made in 2004, shipped to HR (Monaco?) for a build in 2005 and then delivered to a dealer and sold to a customer in 2006. It's first use would have been in 2006 hence the title year.
I imagine it's quite common for a MH to sit at a dealers for 6 months before being sold. This is like saying my pick up was made in 2003 but it didn't sell of the dealers lot until 2005 so now its a 2005. Vehicles of all kind are titled from the date of build. In the case of rv's the build date is when the coach was built not the chassis. Even HR says it is a 2005.

RE: To Fifth wheel from Class A with toad

I have had both. I prefer the 5er now. I used to think I would never be happy with anything but a MH. Really takes me no longer to set up 5er than mh.

RE: Left stranded night before Thanksgiving...

First I have to agree with roadside service. They do tow to the nearest repair shop, otherwise people would want to be towed home or to their destination. Second, Don't let westernrvparkowner bother you. He bashes just about everyone. I understand why he never list the parks he is supposed to own. No one would stay there. JMO

RE: Towing Shouldn't Be This Difficult - Help Needed

Thats most of your problem. Mine had D rated tires when I bought it and it was terrible. Put a good E rated tire on and air to 80 to 85psi and you won't believe the difference.

RE: Towing Shouldn't Be This Difficult - Help Needed

How much air pressure are you running in your tires? D rated are bad but under inflated D's are a lot worse for wandering.

RE: CampingWorld has lost another Customer and refs for life!

Thanx all for the honest replies, points are taken.
I was in a rush, did not do my research as I would normally do.
Have had the honda 2000 before, and loved it.Wish I had just purchased it instead. Hindsight is 20/20, that is why they don't make butt glasses!
I saw this as a middle of the road genset with remote start, which I have not seen before in this size. So I wouldn't call this a "$300 cheapo".
I took a chance on it, and will learn from it.
Used the correct multi/weight oil for my temp range.
It has automatic choke on it, which probably needs a little adjustment.
I too am coming back to rving after a being out of it for a while.
I remember the "old" CW. Much like the ol' sears and so on.
But I took things for granted and as such, am a little smarter now!
My point is, The return policy must be displayed either at each entrance to the store, at each cash register and sales counter, on tags attached to each item, or on the company's order forms, if any. A return policy printed only on a receipt, for example, is not sufficient.
If a store violates this law (California Civil Code section 1723), the purchaser can return an item for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
However, my bad for not asking about it.
Good day all, and take care.
MR
Don't often see folks come back like this and 'man up.' It's refreshing to see someone take some responsibility...
and...I do agree with you about the return policy issue. Any outfit that sells 'no return' stuff should prominently and clearly display that policy - not just some fine print at the bottom of the page or receipt.X2

RE: Camping World Greenwood IN.. Backs out of sale!

Wow, good on CW
I just have to say I do not know of many companies that creat a forum to highly publicize their errors Ike this. This shows confidence in the work they do and I would buy from them based on this forum.
Times ten!
I can't think of any other company in ANY business with an open, uncensored discussion forum like this one. There are a LOT of post censored here!!

RE: CampingWorld has lost another Customer and refs for life!

Sorry But I have to side with CW on this one.
1- You bought a cheap generator and it would not pull what you wanted it to do. You did no research.
2- It was louder than you wanted. Do you understand DBU ratings? No research.
3- Did you put in the correct oil or check for choke controls? Check with the manufacter for help on starting problems. JMO.
How do they know you didn't just want it for the weekend?

RE: Do tires have to be changed at a certain age?

11.14.05.05.htm
11.14.05.05. 05 Tires and Wheels.. A. Tires.. Procedures:. Reject Vehicle If:. 1) Reference is made to Figures 2 and 3 for visual aid in determining tire wear. This inspection is visual. (a) Inspect for tire wear: (i) Tires without tread wear indicators. (ii) Tires with tread wear indicators. (iii) For cord exposure. (b) Inspect for tread cuts, snags, or sidewall cracks. (c) Inspect for lumps, bulges, or knots. (d) Inspect for fabric breaks and exposed or damaged body cords. This is from the Maryland state inspection guide. It says nothing about age. However there is no way I would be using tires that old.
