RE: How to use Seafoam on onboard generator?

Get a 1 or 2 gal gas can and add a heavy dose of Seafoam, 1/2 can to 1 gal of gas. Unhook flexable fuel line to genset and stick in gas can, This will draw mix directly into generator. Run til dry. Spraying carb cleaner will also help. Exercise the Onan at least once a month for 2 hrs with a good load on it. I don't know why Onan's are so sensitive, I had lawn mowers that sat for a year and would start and run. Sometimes would have to drain water out of carb bowl.

RE: Dinghy Towing 5200lb Durango with Winnebago 37' 454 Engine

I wouldn't think so. 4000lbs is about all you could tow and with rig as big as yours and that would be slow going uphill and more importantly downhill. Good luck.

RE: 1995 28ft Georgie Boy, Chevy 454, P30 chassis

1995 454 is an OBD 1 system. In 1996 they went to OBD ll and the upgrade to Vortec. That being said, These old girls can still deliver the mail and be made to handle great. Mine came with the Banks headers ETC. If you can get it cheap enough there are a lot of after market parts to improve the P30/32 chassis.

RE: OTR trucks drifting into your lane

It happens a lot. I see it with cars also. Just a lot of distracted drivers out there, Being alert is all you can do and sometimes that isn't enough. Safe Travels.

RE: Engine insulation

Check Summit Racing for Hood Liner Its a peal and Stick with foil covering. I used it on mine and it works great, I used aluminum tape around the edges.

RE: V-10 Ford chassis vs V-8 Chevrolet Workhorse chassis

Some with Workhorse chassis had brake problems. Use the search function to research. The 2006 Ford V-10 had the improved Transmission and more sparkplug threads, Also bumped HP to 362.

RE: Hwy 30 to the coast of Oregon - Brake Buddy issue

Big uphill at Longview and long down hill approaching Clatskanie on US 30. Big rigs use US30 regularly, Should be no problem for you.

RE: Winnebago disappointment

If thats all you find fault in a new MH you have it made. Change the lock as mentioned and get the washer fixed, Its still good as new. Perhaps RV'ing is not for you, Everything breaks sooner or later. There are so many electrical systems in these houses on wheels. Perfection is just not a realistic expectation sorry to say. That's one of the best motorhomes you can buy, Work the issues out and enjoy, You will have the time of your life.

RE: Control unit for Kwikee steps--Update...WooHoo! Steps work

Before replacing expensive parts. Check ground wires for good ground, Next check magnetic door switch, Magnets stick and won't complete circuit. Also be sure and lube step hinge points with white spray grease. Hope this helps.
