RE: What is the right way?

Good morning I tend to park as far back as I can to get away from the road, but it varies depending on trees, how tilted the space is, can the satellite see the southern sky, where the hookups are.. sometimes I'm straight in the spot, sometimes slanted for more shade. pretty much depends on what I want or need at the time. We spend more of our time in state, county, and federal parks where spaces are usually a little farther apart so I don't need to worry about the neighbors. Dave X2 Steve:W

RE: calling all truckers

I work in a welding shop and we build some pretty heavy things. Trucks can get permits to haul more than 80,000 lbs. one of our loads was 126,000 lbs you should have seen the squat in those tires.:E

RE: Need drawing of fuel tank set up??

I hate to tell you that I know exactly what your problem is. Everybody in our group of venerable old classics has dealt with this. All the hoses for fuel are shot. This is always an issue with old rubber parts, but the mandated alcohol in fuel has caused this problem to become much worse than could have normally been anticipated. The smart move? Get the tank(s) down and replace every piece of rubber you can find with new alcohol resistant material. Then go back and hunt for more rubber to replace, like all the fill plumbing, vent lines and what ever rubber is in the engine compartment. Here in MN. they the maxs are 70' long & 8'6" wide, no special permits either. DOT goes after the commercials because there is alot more $ to make.

RE: McKenzie Starwood

We have a 33' 2007 Lakota w/ 3 slides and have not had any problems except for a tire bulge. Cured that by putting on the goodyear g614, and that really made for a much better ride Steve.

RE: Front Wheel Won't Spin

When was the last time the brakes were ajusted? There are air cans for each wheel, From there there is a special wrench that you use to ajust the shoes. snug it down till it stops then back it off 3/4 to 1 turn. Hoefully that will help Steve;)

RE: Hooking Up Batteries

What a rat's nest! With a pair of 12v batteries - connect both negative posts (-) together with a white wire. Connect both positive posts (+) together with a red wire. Connect the large black wire coming out of the wall to one of the negative posts. Connect the large red wire coming out of the wall to one of the positive posts. Other 5th wheel guys - is the additional battery for the breakaway brakes? If so, connect the smaller red wire to the positive post of the battery on the right and the white wire to the negative post. X2
