RE: AC temp

The ac will freeze up if you go a lot lower that out side. 15 to 20 degrees is a guess. We did freeze ours and a new GMC when it was 105 in Atlanta and the car was set to 60 degrees. We have replaced our 15000 ac in our alpenlite 2 winters ago. chevman What brand did you go with

RE: AC temp

At 96 degree in full sunlight I couldn't get below 85 deg inside I am going to check the intake and exhaust numbers next time. I didn't have my infrared temp gun with but I am thinking we are going to add another unit in place of the fantastic fan in the bedroom. I am assuming it is wired and ducted in the bedroom if so any suggestions on who as the best low profile ac unit.

AC temp

What temp should the air be coming out the ac unit in respect to outside temp. I don't think my ac is working right.

RE: Mercedes Benz fuel challenges

good luck on warranty repairs if they find a trace of some "bad" stuff in your fuel tank. bumpy Not just Mercedes there isn't a disel engine manufacturer that will warrenty any fuel related problems if you have bad fuel period.

RE: Hydraulic failure on 5th Wheel

I had a 2002 keystone sprinter with hyd slides and landing gears as as I remember there was a octagon hole in the end of the hyd pump that you could spin with a cordless drill to run the pump.

RE: Hydraulic failure on 5th Wheel

Sound to me like a low voltage problem or bad ground. That is what I would check first. Also check connections on the electric solenoid valves

RE: Tire question Again

I wouldn't have a problem running a slightly different size from the front to the rear end. You just can't run different sizes on the rear end. Bill X2 also check with truck shops

RE: Slide hesitates, sometimes stops

Don't know about your unit, but guessing you're referencing hydraulic slides. Many RVs use an auto-reset circuit breaker in the slide pump power line. These do go bad resulting in a stopping and restarting of operation and will only get worse. I would check to see if you have an auto-reset breaker and replace it. Have had a similar issue on previous Montana and current Redwood. This is the correct response. Follow your positive wire from the battery. It will connect to a breaker (actually two in series) that is connected under a rubber cover. Usually a red cover, and attached to the back wall of the front storage compartment. These suckers go bad frequently. Remove both of them and take them to an auto parts store for replacement. About $6.00 a piece. This is your problem. I don't believe WRV ever used Hyd. Slides on any of the 5vers

RE: Neverlube bearing replacements

If your worried just buy the bearing cartridge press the old out and new in. Also low chance any auto parts store is going to stock them. That being said if you have the tag number off the axle you can call dexter and they will give you the part number for the bearing cartridge. Also if a 7k axel there are several different cartridges a 40mm and a 2 50mm one a 9/16 wheel stud and a 5/8 wheel stud. There is a process for checking the bearing end play with a dial indicator with rims off measure free play at hub. On a 50mm bearing I believe if within .008 you are good to go. Reread your op you more than likely have 7k axels with 8k hubs this is something that was kinda specific to WRV On the Alpenlite 5vers.

RE: Replace Akuret tires with Goodyear Marathons?

If they are load range D they are 8 ply and have a load range of 2535 lbs at 65 psi. Reread you post I see it a 2013 date code should not be an issue.

RE: Replace Akuret tires with Goodyear Marathons?

I have used Akuret tires on skid steer loaders, farm tractors, pay loaders, fork lifts over the road flat bed trailers and Semi tractor & trailer, with excellent results. National Tire is a full line manufacturer (in business for 75 plus years) a division of Del-Nat A private label company from the 30's. If not out of date range and no visible problems I would have them balanced and run them. I did have a semi tire pick up a sliver of a blade and cut the face open they replaced mounted at no charge no questions asked.

RE: About GMs breaking axles

With 4.8 million recalls so far in 2014 are we going to have to bail them out again.
