RE: Door Knob

I've got an older (1996) Winnebago. The bathroom door knob is getting worn and sticking, hard to open etc. I tried to match something at Lowes but a stick built house is obviously different. Any one have an idea where I can get a repacement?
Thanks
Gordon
Dont take this the wrong way but have you tried Home Depot lol?

RE: Adjust Head Lights

I have an 03 Chev Tahoe. I need to adjust the headlights. How do you do that?
I would suggest auto zone or pep boys to be honest.

RE: Boats and the motorhome

We tow our Jeep behind the M/H, so we can't tow a boat too, So we bought an inflatable that will fold up and go into the basement of the Newmar.
Our problem came when we tried to get the inflatable from the motor home to the water. WE had the choice of dragging it or carrying it. and it is too heavy to carry.
I came upon a Kayak on a dolly, which gave me the idea to build a Inflatable dolly that can be carried in the basement too.
Built it today, from 2" PVC pipe, 4 "T"s, 4 Caps, and 2, 10 foot lengths of 2" PVC, works great.
How much did it cost you in man power and supplies?

RE: RV with the best repair ratings?

I'm curious what thoughts you all have on either a class A, B+, or C make with the best repair rating. (few repairs needed)
I have to say so far I have owned pop up through class A and the only one that never had a problem was my pop up. It's so discouraging to have to repair something so often.
With that said, we love RVing and wouldn't give it up but would love to some day own something that requires less fixing.
Thanks!
You know what RV stands for? Ruined vacations! They all break down from tiffin to prevost. After talking to many owners I have come to the realization that just buy what you like. They are all built like a 70's vintage car.
That honestly made me laugh. Good work.

RE: RV tire pressure - amount of increase

Took my Class A on its first trip this weekend. I installed the TST monitor and noticed that the right rear tires has the highest pressure increase but was equal on tire temp to the others. The outside right rear increased about 17 degrees and the inside 20 degrees. The left rears increased about 14 degrees.
I still have to have the MH weighed so I don't know if the right rear is caring more weight. The temp of all tires were all the same.
Any ideas?
Well that depends, how hot is it where you live?

RE: choosing between 2000 and 2001

Between the 2000 and 2001 Bounder Diesel, there are a few significant differences. The 2000 has a 4 speed Allison MT-643 transmission with T-shifter, the 2001 has a 6 speed Allison MD-3000 with pushbutton selector. You get slightly better mileage a bit smoother shifts with the 3000 but more importantly the engine brake in the 3000 is significantly better. The 3000 is also rated higher in case you ever want to modify the engine. The GVWR and GCWR were also increased by almost 2000 lbs in the 2001 while the base weight is almost the same. Those are pretty strong reasons to get the 2001 over the 2000. That said, once you are parked, it doesn't make any difference.
As far as the washer/dryer, we love having it but you can probably pick up a used set for about $500. Also if you are interested in the washer/dryer, newer models have a larger capacity so you might want to hold out for that anyway.
That was super informative... Is there a link where you retrieved this information from?

RE: house current to M H

Camping World and other places sell adaptors so you can connect an extension cord to the rv and keep batteries charged or fridge going. We use this in our storage area. The adapter we have connects to the 50amp to 30amp pigtail.
How much can you pick one of these up for?
