RE: GPS purchase

Save your $. If you've got a smartphone, get the CoPilot GPS app for about $10. Maps will download to your phone and you won't need to use data while navigating. Wish I had bought this in the beginning and not splurged on the Rand McNally 7720. Live and learn...die and forget it all. Cat Lady

RE: Olive Relish for Muffaletta Sandwiches

I enjoy Boscoli Italian Olive Salad, a Louisiana product packed in Kenner, LA. Great on salads, pastas, seafood, sandwiches and more. Comes in 16 oz jar. Has a recipe for New Orleans Muffulettas on label. You might want to check them out at Boscoli Italian Olive Salad. Cat Lady

Tahiti, Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga...where I'd be if I didn't have a dang dog! Mitch, if you're tired of that "dang dog" I'll be happy to take that pesky little rascal off your hands, lol. What a cutie. Cat Lady

RE: Ol' Blue, Debra Nopp

Thank you for the update. I had been thinking about her the last few days so yesterday I went to her website but didn't see an update on her. I think of her everytime I make her Smokey Monterrey Ham Soup...a great comfort food in this cold weather. She really enjoyed preparing meals you and your son would enjoy. I'll keep you both in my prayers. She will be missed. Cat Lady

RE: Rear slide pause/stops several times until open.

Mine was starting and stopping like that...so frustrating. It turned out I needed new batteries...mine were getting pretty old. Also, I needed to make sure to engage the parking brake knob on the dash. With that done, along with the new batteries, the slide practically zooms out now, lol. I haven't been using the motorhome very much in the past couple of years and had forgotten about the parking brake. Hope yours is as easily fixed. Cat Lady

RE: for the GS folks

"they left a heavy tape residue on the side of the RV..." If you've got access to Avon's Skin So Soft use that. It removes the gray, sticky, gummy -like tape residue from your body, rv, or whatever with no bad affects. Good stuff. Cat Lady

RE: Do you RV without your significant other?

I understand the husband's concern, but I'd put it this way: I (the wife) love to RV. If something happens to you (the husband), I wouldn't give up the RV life. So, isn't it better that I (the wife) get used to doing things on my own now - while you (the husband) are around to help me if I get stuck - rather than wait for you (the husband) to croak and leave me to learn it all on my own. :) Seriously, women (myself included) travel alone all the time without problems. It's not that scary of a world. Unless you personally have issues with insecurity, lack of common sense, etc., then just do it. Yeah, what she said. Go to Walmart and get a TracFone with Verizon as the carrier. I just re-upped my 200 minutes (triples the minutes to 600) good for 3 months for $49. I've got an AT&T iPhone but when I was in TN last fall the darn thing was in a dead zone or whatever so I got the TracFone and tethered it to my iMac using the old Millenicom, now under Verizon, so I'm not going to run out of data. I travel with 4 cats and love it. I've got roadside assistance and anything else I feel that would insure my safety. If something breaks down, okay, I'll get it fixed. DH stays home and does whatever he wants with his ham radio and old-car collector buddies. It's not unusual for me to be gone anywhere between 3 and 9 months. We talk, text, or e-mail daily as we feel like it. No big deal. He doesn't like to travel. I do. I'm not going to stay home waiting to die just because he doesn't want to go somewhere. Works for us. RE: Cat hair in the RV?

I travel with 4 cats. To quickly corral cat hair, I dampen my hand and wipe the couch, chairs, or whatever needs cleaning. Gets up the hair faster than anything I've previously used. I rinse the hair off my hand and continue until the object is all clean. Cat Lady

http://i.imgur.com/4JCSleCl.jpg Kitchen after I especially like the tiles in your kitchen update....good job! Did you have to take off the wallpaper or did you just tile over the top? Did you know how to tile before you did this or did you take a class? I'd like to redo my kitchen but I'd hate to really screw it up. That's why I'm asking "how to" questions. Can't wait for more pictures. You're done a great job. Thanks for sharing. Cat Lady

RE: West Yelowstone camping

I stayed at Valley View RV Park about 13 miles outside the gates of W. Yellowstone for about three months. This is a Passport America park. I paid either $300 or $350 a month (30amp f/h/u) plus $20/mo wifi, can't remember which rate. I think 50 amp is slightly higher but not by much. Roomy sites, no trees, a very large laundry/office. Gas station is next to the campground. Not a lot to do there but I only used it for R&R so wasn't a problem for me. I liked the park and will stay there again when I'm in the area. I stayed during the summer and left the first part of September. Traffic into WY was not a problem but I usually got there early. Cat Lady
