RE: How Do You Handle Litter Odor?

I've got 4 cats I take with me. My daughter and son-in-law previously owned my MH. He cut an opening on the bed frame close to the head of the bed large enough for the kitties to enter and go to the litter box under the bed. They also plugged in a soft night light so the kitties could see easier. I use the Special Kitty Scoopable with baking soda and clean it first thing in the morning and the last thing at night before bedtime. It's unlikely, but if I detect any odors, I will sprinkle in more baking soda (from Dollar Tree...cheap). I add more Special Kitty as needed until the end of the month when I'll dump everything, wash the box with warm water and Dawn, dry, and start all over. There's no way I'd get rid of or leave behind my little traveling companions...I love them too much. Cat Lady

RE: Just wanted to say goodbye

I'm going to be sorry to see you go, Bill, along with the rest of the folks here. I had checked off "Notify Me of New Post" so anytime you'd post I'd see it. Your advice to another questioner regarding his Winegard helped me solve a recent problem with mine. You always had good advice and I'm sure we all appreciated your help. You will be missed. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. Take care and don't be a stranger. Cat Lady

RE: Winnebago Slide Outs?

I had two problems: Bobbo nailed it...didn't have the Auto Park Brake knob pulled out and my batteries were finally poopin' out. Got new batteries, engaged the APB, and she works perfectly. Cat Lady

If you're a member of Escapees, you can boondock at Park of the Sierras campground about a mile or two below Chukchansi Casino for a nominal fee ($5 - 8/night). Cat Lady

RE: From the Land of the Misfit Dogs...

"He got his first Kong today, smeared inside with peanut butter and frozen, to enjoy while he was crated this afternoon when Joe and I went out. Talk about a hit! When we got home, I removed the Kong to wash/refill/refreeze it..." Beth, what is a Kong, please? I've got cats so I have no clue. Thanks. Cat Lady

RE: Humidity

Hi Cat Lady, I've done it on cold clammy days. It turns the air conditioner into a giant dehumidifier. If it is already unbearably hot then the air conditioner will already be removing as much moisture as is possible. Suit yourself. Cat Lady

RE: Humidity

Hi, Run a small heater in conjunction with running the roof air. That will help dry out your RV. I don't think I'd be running a heater. You try that in the Deep South and you're gonna die for sure...heat stroke and worse. Keep the doors/windows/roof vents closed, shades drawn and the a/c running in both the front and back. Use that silver stuff (can't think of the name) that blocks the heat from your windows. The idea is to keep the humidity out and the way to do that is do not open the windows. Cat Lady
