RE: Veteran's Day
MRS CRAZY RAY
Hey Donna,
In the interest of keeping posters straight, why don't you set up your own log-in? If your screen name was, say, Mrs Crazy Ray, then no one would confuse you with your husband.
Happy Veterans day to Crazy Ray, and to all veterans!
RE: Home Remedies -- Please post yours!
According to the Foxfire books, if a person had a tapeworm all you had to do was to starve your self for several days and then get a bowl of warm milk, hold it close to your nose, and progressively move it away from your body.
According to the book the tapeworm would follow the aroma of the warm milk, when it started to crawl out of your body, all you had to do was to grab it and pull it the rest of the way out, then dispose of it.
Think I'd just keep the tapeworm.
DITTO! :E
RE: Veteran's Day
...Yes, I took offense at where it's posted....Uhhhhhh . . . . . isn't that a bit of an over reaction, Crazy Ray?:h After all, Pop's post is entitled, "Veteran's Day", so I don't see how you'd confuse it with an animal vet. In any case, there are veterans that happen to be dogs, and many of them "gave all" as well.
RE: "WOW" The Saints are 8 & 0 !
Can you believe it ,the N.O. Saints are 8 & 0? Good job guys . :BI can say with great confidence that they will be 9-0 after next Sunday.
They will be playing my beloved, "Greatest Joke On Turf" Rams, formally known, years ago, as the "Greatest Show On Turf". Don't let the Rams win over Detroit last week fool you, it was just a one in a million fluke.:R
RE: Loose dog attacked me and my dog
....The owner would then let the little dog out which would then run around the hedge and start barking and harassing his Suzie....I wonder what the heck that was all about. :h It occurs to me that there are just a whole lotta dumb people in the world. :S:B
RE: 8 Sights Every American Should See

RE: A message from Mike Schneider, CEO, Affinity
Oh Gosh DOTLDaddy I hope you are wrong.
...As do I.
All I know is that as a dues paying Good Sam member, Emergency Road Service member, and subscriber to Trailer Life magazine, I would think twice about paying yet another fee.
Like I said, I hope I am wrong as well . . . . . .
RE: A message from Mike Schneider, CEO, Affinity
I hope I am reading between the lines incorrectly, but as much as I love RV.NET, I will not pay a subscription fee. I can live with the pop-up adds and other distractions, but please do not make this a pay site. IMHO, the membership would drop precipitously if that happens.
RE: Dumbest Stunt Ever
Nature's way of thinning the herd. It didn't work that time, but it will, eventually.Yes, Mother Nature is, ultimately, pretty efficient in that respect.:)
RE: Pictures of the Fifty Ugliest Cars of the Past 50 Years.
I'm thinking that the author of that "list" musta just thrown 50 darts at a giant board full of car photos to arrive at his choices. :R
Yeah, a few are really "ugly", but there are many more that are just "ho hum" looking, and there are even a few that, IMHO, are good looking cars.
RE: Our Speedy took his final walk this morning.
...Your little Speedy was able to take a final walk and go to sleep in his favorite spot. I hope this brings you some comfort....That was my first thought as well. I wish all of our best buddies could cross over in such fashion. Unfortunately, it is not always so.
RIP, little Speedy.
RE: How many of you have Diabetes?
...One of the " un-intended consequences " of this weight loss surgury, is the END of diabetes, in EVERY patient that has it....Jim,
I am sure what your doctor was referring to was type II diabetes. My wife has been a type I, insulin dependent diabetic for about 45 years. Even though she is not overweight at all, if she thought the surgery would "cure" her diabetes, she would leap at the chance.
War Dogs of the Pacific
FYI, for those who saw and appreciated the documentary film, "War Dogs", a few years ago, there is another one coming up tomorrow, Friday Oct. 30th. It is entitled, "War Dogs of the Pacific."
It is on the Military Channel at 5:00pm CST. "Dogs are trained for combat service and join U.S. Marines in the invasion of Guam and other World War II operations.", is how it is described.
For those that remember the first film, you know that there will probably not be a lot of happy endings for those courageous dogs.
The DOTL salute all those brave canines that gave so much and demanded so little.

RE: Steering column "clunking" sound. Why???
OK, so the jist of what I am hearing is that:
The clunking is annoying, butis not a safety issue.
That being the case, I'll just live with it, because:
The truck is way out of warranty, andit sounds pretty dang expensive to fix.
:p
RE: Ahhhhhhhh those were the days............
...
Wish I knew how to make it a link.
Now you know we all enjoy a challenge! :B
Link
I beat you to it, DOT......LOL:BI just weren't quite fast enuff on the draw, pardner!:W
RE: Steering column "clunking" sound. Why???
... I would be willing to bet it's the steering shaft that connects the steering wheel to the gear box. .
:S
The sound does seem to be coming from the steering column area.
