RE: Onan Genset

Maybe as simple as this. Tried to start mine awhile ago and nothing happened after is had been running fine . Took it to a machanic and told him what it did and he opened the door to the genset reached around to the flywheel and gave it a small turn and tried it and it started up. He said that the 4000 sometimes stops on a dead spot and just turning the flywheel a little fixes it. Just make sure you do not try to start it when doing that, fingers could be seriously damaged. Jope this helps

As i said i reset the control module and cleaned all connections and restarted on gas and it is making ice on the fins. Maybe this time it will not fail me but i have my doubts. we will see. Denny

RE: norcold refreg not working on gas

Thanks DAS26miles and i did cool it down on elec and switch to gas after at least 12 hrs.I have reliable thermometers in freezer and refrigerator. I just completed a reset of the control panel so i'll see what happens now.I'll set it on #5 and let her fly. Do you think having anything in the refrig makes a diff?Denny

RE: norcold refreg not working on gas

Raised thermistor and freezer went to 10 below 0 on #4 setting but refrig only came down to 49???? Has me completely baffled. Like i said earlyier on Elec it works fine. Door seal is good so no problem there. My history on this refrig goes back to day one and is documented so maybe Norcold needs a little wake up call.

norcold refreg not working on gas

Hi everyone, maybe out there is someone who knows what the problem could be. Our unit is a 2003 Jayco with a norcold refrig and from day one it has not worked right on gas. The refrig completely quit on it's madden voyage to Alaska in 2003, both elec and gas refused to work. Upon returning home the dealer repaired it with a replacement of a control module. We asked to have the whole refrig replaced but was told Norcold would not do that. Now 6 years later, and many visites to the dealer and a replacement over a year ago of the whole complete cooling plumbing unit, it still refuses to cool on gas. The freezer will cool down to 10 to 15 above zero but the rest only cooles to 50 or so.It's been removed a couple of times and distance between inner wall and cooling fins checked to make sure air is going past fins and not around them. Gas flame checked and is good, I've noticed when i put it on gas it never shuts off just keeps burning but not cooling as it should. Sorry this post is so long but I'm at a real loss and the Dealer and Norcold seem not to want to hear anything from me. Any ideas would help. Thanks in advance Denny

RE: Fort wilderness

Arriving January25th for 12 days can't wait. Sick of the snow here. Has been awful here in new york and hope the roads get better for the trip south. We will leave Disney after our stay there and stay in Florida till spring. Would love to just stay at Disney but need to win the lottery to do that. Requested 1900 loop hope we get it. See all in the spring.
