RE: Seeking past hybrid owners - sound difference?

We went from a Jayco 23B (HTT) to a Jayco 29QBH. I do not miss noisy campgrounds but I do miss some of the natural noise- waves at the beach, babbling brooks etc. There is NO noise in our TT. We steer clear of busy, noisy campgrounds as much as possible anyway. I DO NOT miss the damp tent ends but do miss the great breeze we could get by simply having the screens in place. We have a hard time cooling down without electricity or a generator now. My kids LOVE not having to share a bed or "putting the couch back", since they have bunks now.

RE: CG's in Gettysburg Pa

We have stayed at Artillery Ridge 3 times. It is basic but the closest to sights. I love the stables on site- the horseback tour is great! They do a great Halloween weekend (x3). VERY dog, horse, and family friendly. They have cute cabins too. LOTS of full hookups. Good luck and have fun! Gettysburg is a great town.

RE: Coffee percolator

We have been using a Cabelas' brand stainless steel percolator pot (12 cup) for almost 10 years. It makes the BEST coffee. I use it on propane stove and over fire. Inside parts - everything- is stainless steel. Easy to clean and has held up all this time. BEST investment for camping we have ever made. It is the one piece of equipment that has been with us since our tenting days. Now thats how we make coffee in our travel trailer!!!

RE: halloween camping suggestions near maryland

We are headed to Artillery Ridge Campground in Gettysburg, PA. The campground itself has a haunted house, hayride, trick or treating. It is rustic but a lot of fun. It has the National Riding Stables so you are surrounded by horses and it is very dog friendly. The town has ghost tours and all kinds of activities too. LOTS to do there.
