RE: Can Anyone Tell Me What Year....

BTW, Rexhall uses pressure laminated walls and roof all framed in steel. These steel structures are then welded to the floor and each other creating a box frame around the entire structure.

RE: water heater switch

Usually the switch is inside the service panel (outside) i've never HEARD of any being "hard wired" as it would almost immediately burn up if you couldn't turn it off and the tank is empty. By hard wired, I mean connected by romex and not plugged into an outlet.

RE: Can Anyone Tell Me What Year....

Wood frames are still widely used. Airstream used aluminum from day one back in the 50's.

Mother In Law

A man takes his wife and MIL to the Holy Land. While there, the MIL contracts a serious virus and passes away. The man proceeds to make arrangements to have the body returned to the States. The authorites suggest that he bury the body in the Holy Land rather than incure the high expense of getting the body shipped home. The man said "No, I will ship her because I once read about a man that passed away here and he arose from the dead three days later and I just don't want to take that chance"!! :B

RE: water heater switch

"Hardwired in"? Unless it is an add-on accessory, the Suburban and Atwood water heaters with the electric option are all hardwired. Suburban: Electric switch located outside within the water heater access panel at the lower, left side. Atwood: Switch usually located on the back side of the case, usually accessable through a cabinet.

Fire Closures, Point Mugu State Park, Calif.

Thornhill Broom and Sycamore Canyon, just South of Oxnard, remain closed due to on-going fires. Sycamore Canyon sustained severe damage with over 50% of the vegatation destroyed. No schedule for reopening. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Mulholland Drive and Los Posas.

RE: Can I connect RV AC directly to portable solar panels?

No. Your panels put out very low amperage at 12-volts. Portable systems are barely large enough to charge a pair of batteries. Panels are designed to charge batteries, not power anything eles. An inverter is needed.

RE: Dometic 9100 Power Awning Recall.

Just received this notice from Dometic today at my dealership. The recall is for the electric motor used on OEM awnings installed from the factory. If your coach was produced between February 13, 3013, serial #305xxxxxx through April 9, 2013, serial #314xxxxxx and has a Dometic power awning, you may want to check with Dometic. The issue is that the awning could deploy either standing still or while driving. This recall may also apply if you had your awning motor replaced around the same time. Call 1-888-943-4908 for information. Feb. 13,3013???? :R

RE: Our 23 year old daughter committed suicide 4-11-13

I am so very sorry for your loss. As a parent that lost a 21-year old daughter, I can say I know what you are going through. This organization has been a great comfort to me during my time of grieving. When the time is right, I would encourage you to get on their mailing list. Blessings, Rhonda.

RE: RV Power Conversion Kits -- thumbs up or down?

Like mine as well. The original cord stored into a compartment under the fridge that had a blanh panel on it inside. I replaced the panel with a matching cabinet door and now have that large space available for inside storage. Yes. Worth every penny.

RE: Pilot light for fridge blowing out while driving down road

First, your refrigerator does not have a pilot light. Only a main burner. Second, turning the thermostat to high does not produce a stronger flame. The thermostat only turns the burner on or off. The exception to this would be refrigerators from the 70's-80's era that regulated the flame from high to low, leaving the burner constantly lite. I would first have gas pressure checked.

RE: Where would you retire?

The Central Coast of California. Somewhere around San Luis Obispo.

RE: Atwood Water Heater

Some clarifications here. Thermocouples are used in standing pilot applications. They sensed the presence of the pilot light and then allowed the main burner to ignite. Water heaters using Direct Spark Ignition have no pilot and use a flame sensor to prove the presence of the main burner.

RE: May want to stay away from this place

I had a severely disabled daughter who passed away a few years ago. I head the Disability Ministry at my church. I have a friend confined to a wheel chair. I mention all of this to show I have experience with the disabled community. One of the problems that I constantly see is some of the disabled thinking that they should have special privledges above and beyond others while most disabled people are appreciative just being treated as all others. I never expected anything more for my daughter.

RE: Zip Code required to buy gas

The scanners at the pumps are programmed differently than the ones Inside the store. The ones at the pumps require a zip-code be entered to confirm that you are the card holder. And, I have needed to do this in other states other than California. It is NOT for marketing purposes.

RE: Are Class As selling anywhere?

Are you sure all of those ads are staying published? I ask because one of the rules of Craigslist prohibits multiple ads in multiple cities and advertising out of your own area. Your inappropriate ads may be getting deleted.

Ipad Mini Car Mount

Does anyone know where I can find a mount for my ipad mini that attaches to the steering wheel? Watching videos and checking emails while driving would make those long commutes much more enjoyable. :W
