RE: Dumping air when parked

Monaco, at least since 1996 has always stated:
Deploy Slides
Dump Air
Level
Reverse when departing.
I was told the main reason for that is to ensure sufficient clearance issues for the slides to operate....Dennis

RE: I-5 or CA99?

Harris Ranch is good, but I wouldn't do I-5 just for it. There's plenty of places along 99 too. I like the McDonald's in Chowchilla myself. :)
Pretty tough to compare Harris ranch to a Mcdonalds resturant
In fact a bit insulting to harris ranch in my opinion
I found I5 ok but pretty dam rough in some areas north of bakersfield through to sacremento.Ok north of Sacremento
You're kidding?
no but after thinking about it I realized you were just trying to be funny. (prefering mcdonalds over harris ranch)
I thought it was a slap in the face to McDonalds....:B:B.my grandkids would rather eat at Mickey D's..just sayin....Dennis

RE: Reefer problems.

Take the batteries to any auto parts store. They can check them out for you.
For a proper check, they should be fully charged and tested under a load.....Dennis

RE: Pioneer Museum in Minden Neb

As stated, the campground is a bit outdated, but the museum is well worth visiting. It's a bit off the beaten path, but you will be missing something if you don't stop by..JMHO......Dennis

RE: Slide out Awnings sagging

It's a simple job, IF you know what you're doing, have the proper tools and don't mind an extended time on a ladder. I helped, watched mostly, :B, a mobile tech repair all the neighbor's awnings. I'm pretty handy but I'll call someone when mine need done...just sayin.....Dennis

RE: Washington State coastline?

Anywhere from Cape Disappointment to La Push. We like Copalis.
Agree...we stayed at the Sunrise Resort on Heath Lane in 2011. The Kite festival was awesome..walk across a small bridge and you're on the beach....Dennis

RE: Reefer problems.

As I understand it from Norcold, Rev C cannot be reset in the field, and no, you cannot simply replace that unit yourself...think liability for Norcold. Unfortunately, while that red light is lit, your fridge will not work. Time for a call to your nearest repair center....Dennis
(There is a way to reset that box, but it's not recommended as resetting without proper monitoring may result in a fire, which is why I didn't post it here.)

RE: New computer problem with Wifi

Wifi repair...
If you have the wifi connection icon on your lower status bar, simply right click it and click "Troubleshoot Problems"
If not,
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Network and Internet
Click View Network Status and Tasks (Under Network and Sharing)
Click Troubleshoot Problems
If that doesn't fix it, use the restore feature and go back to a time it was working correctly.
Good luck ....Dennis

RE: Advice on full-timer rig needed

Agree with the size thing. We started in a 40' and soon outgrew it and traded for our current coach. Best thing we ever did....and there's only two of us, unless you count the pooch....then there's three...:B...I'm partial to the Monaco products as this is my second one. They build a superior coach. I had a Winnebago Chieftan. It was also a good rig but not quite the quality of the Monaco..good luck on whatever way you go...Dennis

RE: Front window rattles

Plastic spacers were cheap and easy when the coach was new. Age destroys them. Either find replacements, make your own, or use the felt strips. You can buy the small felt strips at Home Depot in the weatherstrip aisle. If you want to really go whole hog, buy a roll and have a go at all the windows.....Dennis

RE: Sac to the 101?

I like Hwy 20 through Clear Lake. If you take I-10 to San Francisco and up, it'll jar your teeth out of your head around Vacaville and west.....There's a small CG in Clear Lake at the casino that is nice and quiet (Aurora RV Park). The owner will share his booty of home grown tomatoes with you! It's right on the lake but a bit from the casino. They have their own fuel station and their prices were cheaper than most. Easy in and out.
X2 on the Ave of the Giants. We stayed at the Ancient Redwoods RV Park. Awesome park and great owners. Big rig friendly! If you use Google Maps, they had the GPS wrong...use 40.41748,-123.96284...enjoy the trip...if you want pix, ask....Dennis

RE: Tire Info

The plies reinforce the tire. Hence, the more plies, the more reinforcement. 2 ply tires would be more prone to punctures and failure. Obviously, the greater the reinforcement the harsher the ride. Bias ply tires have the plies at a 60 degree angle to the direction of travel while radial ply tires orientate that to 90 degrees. I would not run the 2 ply tires. They were put on your trailer to minimize the weight.....Dennis
