RE: dumping fresh water question

Or just open it as the last thing out of the campsite, after the dump station. Won't hurt the hiway a bit and gives other drivers something to talk about.:B

RE: Washing clothes at a campground.

3d rig with washer and dryer. Wife won't be without. The RV is it's own (clothes, dishes, etc.)

RE: how much ice in black tank to clean sensor?

A good winding road (snake) with several ups and downs does wonders. I use a 10 pound bag about every other month, "just because".. Does it work??? Makes me happy so it's what I do.

RE: Fantastic fan, a mind of its own ???

Either parts OR a new replacement fan.

RE: Help making my Refrigerator Cover White again.

AWESOME from the Dollar store is cheap, and easy to use.

RE: This is the end of May, Memorial Day weekend, Right?

Doug, back here on the Eastern Shore (Delmarva), it's mid-80's, maybe some showers.

RE: First timer

My friend, you need to get into a bigger veh, maybe a U-haul 20 foot box truck, or a friend with something of considerable size, drive a few miles, in town and on the highway, and get a feel for what you will be doing. And you mention 5 or six people in the vehicle? Driving is one thing, driving an RV is TOTALLY something else. Not trying to be brutal, just honest.

RE: First timer

I guess the first question is? What's the biggest vehicle you've driven, up to this point?

Delaware to Mystic,Ct

Have 6 or 7 5'rs going from central Delaware to Mystic CT on 24 June. I keep hearing DO NOt travel the GW or Tappenzee. Will I'm a bit lost. Open to ALL suggestions for our 350 mile jaunt. Some of my travel buddies think that all the roads are at least 12' wide and traffic isn't that heavy. I KNOW BETTER:B So, give me a hand here if you will. The rigs are all 36-38' fifth wheels, most of the TV's are fat hip duallies..

RE: Double pulling

I do wish that the association of a CDL with an RV would hit the TRASH CAN. Only need a CDL IF your hauling an RV for pay, ie, factory to dealer, and getting paid to do that (as a business.)

RE: Memphis Tn

Highly recommend Tom Sawyer. It's 20 minutes or less to Mud Island, about 30 to Graceland. Campground is very safe from my point of view. In the quiet of "Nothing", the sight and sound of the barge traffic up and down the river is SO RELAXING.

RE: Birds and Trailer Hitch

Screen around/over the openings (anything you can get your finger into). Duct tape will hold it in place.

RE: Advice on Sizing truck Requested

We have the same rig, and I HIGHLY recommend the dually. Pulled my first Creek with a SRW. Thought it was OK, until I went to a dually. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I'm at just about 24K loaded and ready to roll.

And the last time there was a fatality and/or major injury in a fifth wheel RV fire, where subjects were trapped was??????????????????

RE: Black Water Tank Question

I guess I'll never understand. Spend money, buy facilities, don't use what you spent GOOD money for. Yes, weird, very weird.

RE: Who drives a F-350 as their sole vehicle and likes it?

Been my daily driver since I bought it in 04. 134K on it now, about 1/4 of that in tow. Tranny rebuilt, new water pump, 3d set of tires on it now and replaced all the rotors/calipers/pads last summer. At 16 around town and 11 in tow (16,000), I'll keep it a few more years. And it sets on fire scenes and traffic accidents for an hour or so at a time (traffic control).

RE: How And Where Do You Do Your Laundry?

I'm in the Don and Jon camp: Washer and dryer in my rig.

RE: Multi Zone Thermostat and 2 ACs on 30 amp service

We've added a 13.5 to the bedroom on our 2012 rig. Both will run, but as stated, with very little else. Our controller handles both units (single control panel, dual zone). Kinda staggers the on/off of the 2 units when on 30A.

RE: TV that makes a good 'everyday'.

I think if you went with a 2500/250 4x2, X-cab, you'll be in the same size as the 'burb, but more "grunt". Might not need a diesel (did I say that:S), but don't get the small V-8, put some muscle under the hood.
