RE: Im so excited, Walmart wants me to have their credit card!

I have one Visa and one MasterCard. Don't know what the interest rate is, because I pay them off in full every month, via auto-pay. I appreciate the interest free monthly loan, but they don't. :) Its a bonus when filling the RV gas tank, because I can pay at the pump. I get offers for somebody else's Visa or Master card about once a month, but I just shred them. They appreciate your use of the card. Although they make money on the interest they also make money every time you swipe or use that card. Depending on the retailer they make 3% or more. I have a small shop and I lose 3% of every credit card sale right off the top. I bet you don't give a 3% discount for cash purchas:Bes??

RE: Please Get a Check Up

A check up is a must if you want to live a long life. Take colon cancer for example. It usually takes about 10 years for symptoms to appear. A colon test can catch it in it early, operable stage. I lost a dear nephew a few years back with colon cancer. He had never had a colon check up. He was only 45. Think of the long life he would have had if he had had a simple test. His wife and daughter miss him dearly.

RE: Lawn Tractor engine filter rip-off

Its the same way for boats. Years ago when I lived in Florida, I needed a coil for my Mercruiser engine. At the dealer it was over $100. I bought the same one at a auto parts dealer for about $20.

RE: Could we please get some global warming over here? Thanks

We just set a record low of 37 degrees for this time of year. I had AC running one day and heat the next. Just glad all the snow is North of here.

RE: A lesson learned in church

A little boy was looking at a plaque on the walls of the church and the minister walked by. The little boy asked him what did these names represent. The minister said these are the names of church members that have died in service. The little boy tearfully asked, which service, morning or evening.

RE: Richardson's Pawn in Gallup NM

There are a number of Indian jewelry places along I40. One name that comes to mind is I believe Bowmans. I seem to remember one that is West of Albuquerque. I don't know if it is dead or not, but it is not cheap. You might also check out the rest stops. There are usually Indians selling jewelry along these

RE: The Drunk Caller is Back!

We had a number once that at one time belonged to a pizza restaurant. After many many calls ordering pizzas and telling them they had the wrong number, I started taking the orders and quoting a high price. After a while the orders stopped coming in.

RE: Interesting and the good news just keeps on coming

The climate is too severe for me. No matter what kind of jobs are there. I had much rather eat tacos in the sun than steak in the snow.:B

RE: 255,000 miles......same sparkplugs.

That's great. I remember 10,000 was the extreme for plugs. I had a Chrysler with a 440 engine in it. I changed the plugs every other oil change.

RE: Reality TV shows are degrading

I "sorta" like them, although the one I detest is Bering Sea Gold. All they do is fight among themselves and hardly ever do any real work. I do like the restoration show and Pickers.:B

Poker Stars Players

Are there any of you that play poker on Poker Stars.Com. If so, have you been able to log onto the site lately.? I have been unable to get it to come up and was wondering if it was me or the site. Thanks.

RE: New small SUV or cross over?

Don't overlook the Lexus RX model. I put 120,000 miles on an 04 model with only maintenance items replaced. I am now approaching 50,000 on a 2010 model and just replaced the battery and tires are next. Not a hint of a mechanical problem. One of the best and most comfortable vehicles I have ever owned. A bit pricey up front, but it evens out with low maintenance costs.

RE: ice cream

Blue Bell is by far the best of the best, but like everything else has been getting pricey. Just paid over $6.50 for half gallon at the local Wally World.

RE: Marathon Negotiations

Believe me. They made money, perhaps not as much as they intended to at the start, but they made it. I once had an experience in which I asked for my keys back and they could not find them. I threatened to call the sheriff and they found them. Some one had thrown them on the roof or the building. I told them that I would not buy their vehicle if they matched my original offer.
