RE: ATF temp sensor install....very simple

One of those "why didn't I think of that". Thanks for posting. I know on a Ford trans, you can screw the sensor directly into the pressure test port on the trans.

RE: Towing new full size trucks 4 wheels down

RE: Transmission lines keep "blowing"

I would think the lube pump has a restriction. It is not allowing fluid to flow through to the cooler and the transmission pump is dead heading the fluid pressure.

RE: 2014 Jeep Cherokee

RE: flame on stovetop burner slow to go out

The "extended" flame could be caused by the length of the fuel tube that runs between the burner and the adjustment knob. The longer the tube, the longer the flame will exist.

RE: Onan Generator Crank Case

The good news is there is no oil pump. It is all splash lubed. The tube may get caught in the splashing device.

RE: 460 exhaust manifolds

Yes.Very common. The manifold bolts break off causing the leak.

RE: CLASS C WITH FORD 6.0 DIESEL

The Econoline 6.0s are severly detuned. There aren't nearly as many issues as the pickups. Ambulances are beat to the ground. Keep driving your RV and enjoy the good life.

RE: Tail dragging in Dips

Casters would reduce your ground clearance by a few inches. Not worth it. I put air bags in the rear of my rv, no more draggin'.

RE: Best Oil Filter

Can't go wrong with the OEM filters. Fram never were the best filters. Ask any Cummins owner that had oil passages plugged up when the Fram filter delaminated.

RE: Does this sound realistic?

That guy is clueless. Motor needs rebuilding at 50K miles? Really? I would say more like 200K miles with the proper maintenance.

RE: Etiquette query......

Cigar smoke does bother me. Camping is all about camp fires and outdoor cooking, that smoke does not bother me. No different than a BBQ pit.

RE: Immediate advice needed please.

IMO, you will have a hard time getting them to pay for the repairs. They should have owned up and told you they damaged the roof.

RE: Ford 6.0

82% of Ford 6.0s made are still on the road. The rest made it home.

RE: Landrover towing part 2 ....

Don't forget to add a trailer brake controler to the LR3.
Home Skillet 03/28/13 06:32pm Travel Trailers
RE: Would this brake controller work on an 06 f250 v10?

The MaxBrake uses brake pedal pressure as an input to control your trailer brakes. All the other brake controllers rely on a G force sensor.
