RiverView RV Park will NOT be open in 2014 due to last years' flooding.

RE: Route 130 West from Laramie, WY

This is a beautiful drive and an excellent hiway. The pine beetle has been very destructive thru the Snowy Range so it won't be as pretty as it was before. You will still enjoy the clear lakes and the jagged peaks, plus lots of game.

RE: Waterton Lakes ?'s

I have never been anywhere in Canada that did not take U.S. currency but with the exchange rate costing you a few cents. As you spend U.S., they will give your change in Canadian money, so then spend it. When you use a credit card, you will be chargef a foreign transaction fee by the credit card issurer. You will enjoy your trip!

RE: Roadside attractions between Rapid City and Denver.

If you like history and quiet, check out Ft. Robinson S.P. at Crawford. Peaceful for hiking, horseback riding, camping, etc. Crawford is about 20 miles west of Chadron. Other than that, go to Sidney which has a big Cabela's and Cabela's has a nice campground. Across the street from cg. is Mi Ranchito, a great little cafe with Chihuahua style mexican food.

Is .22mag snake shot enough for moccasins?

We don't live (or travel) in moccasin country so I have no experience shooting them. HOWEVER...we have to go to Mississippi to clean out a vacant tenant dwelling owned my my mother-in-law so we can list it for sale. The property is 15 acres with house, barns, sheds, pool and pool equipment bldg. plus a couple of greenhouses. It has been neglected for a couple of years and we have now evicted the tenant. We have been told by others living in the area that there is trash, debris, etc. all over the property so we know we will encounter snakes and other varmints. I have been searching for .38/.357 snake shot but cannot find any! I can find 9mm but I don't trust the plastic shells to load properly. I can find lots of .22 mag at Bass Pro so may have to settle for it as it will be in a revolver. Is .22 mag enough for Mississippi moccasin, copperheads, and rattlers? Thanks!

RE: Campgrounds not far from Denver International Airport

What is your definition of "near"? DIA is NE of the city whereas Cherry Creek SP is in the SE, about 35 mi. from DIA.

Chuy's Mexican Restaurant-Van Horn, Tx.

Is this good cafe still open? If so, is the food still good? Thanks.

RE: Logan to Bear Lake UT in spring

Road is a little bit curvy, but nothing out of the ordinary. If weather is good, you will enjoy the trip. The FS campground at the top, overlooking the lake is nice so check and see if it will be open.

RE: which card to get AAA, Good Sam, KOA, RV America

Check out Escapees as their discounts range from 15% to 50%, plus other benefits. There own parks offer dry camping (no h-u) for just a couple of bucks.

RE: Nashville attractions

We have enjoyed the General Jackson riverboat and show. It includes a very good dinner and an excellent, fast-moving music show while cruising the river. You may also enjoy the Parthenon reproduction and the nice park around it.

RE: Struggling with generator size

We have two Yamaha 2000s but only take one with us most of the time as wife needs it to run hair dryer. IF we think it will be hot, thus needing A/C, we take both units. Saves on my back by usually having just the one 2000 to lift in/out of the pickup.

RE: Travel between Branson, Missouri & CO

The most popular things to see in June in Kansas are tornado shelters! Be careful and heed the weather warnings.

RE: New Smoker/Grill

I have used Traeger smokers for 5-6 years and love them! Smoking an 8 lb brisket as I type this. You cannot go wrong smoking (or grilling) anything. Just take your time and remember "low and slow". I take 6 hours or so to do ribs, rather than 4 hr as many suggest. Because I live at 7600' elevation, it takes longer to cook anyway. When I do poultry, I put a small pan with some moisture (water, broth, juice) to keep it from drying out. Contrary to what some say, you CAN grill on it by setting the heat to 450 or so. BTW, Sportsmens Warehouse usually has the cheapest pellets, or sometimes Ace Hardware is on sale.

RE: which discount card ?

Most RV parks will give a 10% discount just for being a senior with NO card or memberships necessary. Escapees does get you a minimum of 15% discount, with oftern 25% to 50% off. They also have an INTERESTING magazine, unlike some organizations.

RE: How do they pick 'em?

Dealerships are set up by mutual need. The dealer needs a product line to sell; the mfg. co. needs sales outlets. If they don't workout, they get canelled.

RE: Highway 149 north from Creede, CO

If you make the trip try and plan a stay at the Slumgullion Pass Campground at 11,323 feet in elevation it may be the highest Campground in the US. Slumgullion Pass CG was closed last year so may be closed this year, too.

RE: 2014 Nash 22h Quality Issues

There must be more to the story that we haven't heard as Northwood is VERY easy to deal with and bends over backward for customers!
