RE: New truck

Might have been an inter-dealer swap. When I bought my current TV, it was swapped in from another dealer in the central valley. I had requested a certain configuration vehicle, they looked for it, located without a deposit and swapped it in. No strings attached. If I didn't like it or want it, I could walk away. as it turned out, I bought it with 85 miles on the clock. So it's possible they swapped it without a sale.

RE: CW's folding bikes

Just picked up the 12 speed from CW. they had a great sale price (even less than the 6 speed) that I couldn't pass up. Uncrating them, DW knocks hers over and the shifter snaps off. :S :E Called CW and they shipped a replacement shifter right out. Didn't even question it. Must be a lotta people bust them off. Now I gotta figure out how to pull off the hand grip to slide off the shifter assembly.:h

RE: Yosemite in April 2014 (Should have read March)

just FYI- the NPS are serious about chains Yosemite Chains Up to $5k fines :E - remember you're on govt property there and in these days of lack of funding do you want to be the one providing the funds? Chains are going to be cheap

RE: Media Player AKA Music Source

Try the JBL On Stage. Dang, got some impressive sound from such a small unit. Deep rich Bass, Runs off of batteries or a plug in transformer. Designed for Ipod but also has a mini din input w/ remote controls. Seen them as low as $40. (when I picked up 3 of them):B

RE: NEST THERMOSTAT

The Nest thermostat can have a high and low setback temp for when you're away. I don't think it will send you a message for over or under temp. Look up Auto-Away Settings http://d2pupd7a6asjpt.cloudfront.net/blog/images/2011-11-18/what-is-auto-away.jpg height=360

RE: Looking For A Yosemite Plan B Help

Depends on which direction you'd be coming from and which entrance you want to use. South entrance you can stay at High Sierra Rv in Oakdale. This would be closest to Wawona. On the northern side HWY 120 there's Yosemite Pines, Yosemite Lakes and a couple of others. On the west there's a KOA in Mariposa Coming form the east thru Hwy 395 may be iffy on when they plow the pass open Tioga Pass open dates There's alot of information at National Park Service - Yosemite National Park

RE: What kind of plug is this?

Looks like a circular DIN plug. Dunno if Condor Electronics sells direct to the public or not. they list a 24V medical grade power supply available with this Locking Plug KPP-3P connector. Amazing what you can find with Google :B

RE: Parks Near Yosimite

Stayed at High Sierra in Oakhurst. Not fancy but quiet with the gurgle of the creek flowing by. It's kind of off the main drag and downhill so you don't hear the highway traffic. We'd stay there again.

RE: Yosemite Ridge Resort

I'm not sure I'd do that route. I've done the 120 from Manteca to Groveland via the new Priest Grade (1500' climb over 6 miles) and that's quite a haul. How big a MH and how heavy a towed? I don't think their directions from the south is considered a truck route so their might be some tough grades.

RE: Need help-mobility impaired MIL and house mods-UPDATE

Crowe, Ramp needs to be a gentle incline. ADA standards call for 1:12 ratio i.e.: 1 inch rise for every 12 inches horizontally. So 2 steps with a 6 inch rise (each), would need 12 feet of run. If there's someone around to assist her 2:12 is possible but would recommend grab bars on both sides for assistance. On track ramp or if she has Medicare check with them. They may provide solution for you

RE: Drunk driver wrecked my truck tonight - pics

Is it possible to mount a utility body instead of the pickup box or a or a slide in service body? That might transfer some of the weight off the box sides.
