RE: Need Place Near Salina KS

The LOA at salina is very nice and very inexpensive as far as KOA"s go. Nice park... great staff. You can boondock at Fling J or Petrol there also.

RE: Leveling Jacks

Some (Power Gear) have zerk fittings at the top or bottom of the cllinder.. apply a little grease, slowly, and look for it oozing from the seal then stop. Wipe down extended clylinders with ATF

RE: onan 4000w generator

Actually you need to exercise the gen-set for 1 hr each month, not just a few mins... this will help eliminate the type problems you are having. you may want to add some Stabil to your gas also.

RE: Help on directions to Florida

I would get on I-84 to I-81 and the I-75 South to FL.... I-95 is so busy and many traffic back-ups and it's rough

RE: Camper Tires

H78 are OLD tires... the new size is 225/75-15 so you are good to go as long as the wheels are the same pattern.

RE: Is a wholesale/direct purchase actually better for me??

As long as your not seeking warranty service, i have local service facilities more than happy to work on my rig. With the economy down, they are all hurting for work and would love to charge you $95- $100/hr to work on your rv. I've found two locals who actually do a lot better work than my selling dealer.

RE: How level does MH need to be for Frig. to work ?

The specs are 3 degrees left to right and 6 degrees front to back.
3 degrees equates to about 6 inches over 10 ft

RE: Rv Insurance Coverage question

I found liability insurance inexpensive and my agent recommended going with $250,000 liability and $1,000 deductible on collision.

RE: De Winterizing

low on Sat in Corbin is to 14 degrees.... I would probably wait until Sunday night to de-winterize. Unless there is a specific need to sanitize your tank, I would just fill and flush then refill. If you need to sanitize, add 1/4 cup c;orox per 15 gal of tank capacity.

RE: Steep inclines

Have your bro use a string level = 1/2 of your wheel base in lenght. With the string level, measure down to the pavement. You should measure your clearance between the wheel base. If his measurement is less than yours, you will be ok... if more than yours, you will hang up.
