RE: Montreal

Forget about 640 or 40. Take the newly opened 30 going on the south shore. A beautiful smooth 4 lane highway It goes around Montreal and will get you to Highway 20 towards Quebec City.

RE: Need international drivers license for Fla.?>

I was in Fla. for in December and january and I was involved in a minor fender-bender. The guy that hit me in the back while I was standing still at a red light insisted we called the police for an accident report. The police officer never asked me for an Internationale Drivers licence or anything else but my regular drivers licence, car registrations and insurance certificate. The other driver refused to move his car before the police arrived on the scene while we were slowing down some very heavy trafic in Miami at 5oclock PM. I still can't understand why 2 police officers would take 40 minutes of their time to write a full accident report, with individual declarations for such a minor dent.

RE: Changing US to Canada Dollars

I can't see why anyone would want to stop at a bank to exchange money :h :h Why not use an ATM? There are over 60,000 ATMs in Canada. the Caisse Populaire Desjardins and found out that they will not offer this courtesy to someone from out of country unless they have an account. Ever tried to buy something at Costco without first being a member????? Caisse Populaire Desjardins is not a bank and it does not operate like a bank. It is the largest credit union in North America (which includes the United States (if my map is up-to-date) with assets of nearly $200billions. It controls 45% of the deposit accounts in Québec and carry 35% of all mortgages. It only service its 6.3 million owners.
