RE: Towing Shouldn't Be This Difficult - Help Needed

First, get the truck driving without problem without the trailer. Might be front end problem or might even be simple as insuring that all tires are full of air. An F350 should have no problem handling that trailer. Second, you do need to have tension on the bars to balance hitch weight on the truck suspension. You should not be able to hand lift the tension bars from the hitch. Third, the weight in the trailer should be balanced also. If all the weight is in the back of trailer then it will tend to sway with you. Sometimes trying too hard to control the trailer causes more "activity" than it should. The more you turn the wheel, the more you will need to turn the wheel. Good luck.

RE: Safest way to jack up the TT?

Jacking it up to put boards under the tires would be difficult because the springs would stretch out before the wheels would come off the ground. Hopefully there is someone there with a truck that will help pull it up on boards to level it. I would not want to just jack it up using the frame to lift it if I could avoid it. It will not take a super big truck to just move back and forth over a couple of boards.

RE: Fallon to replace Jay Leno

Really like Fallon and Letterman for late night, we DVR both and watch them next day if they have decent guests.

RE: Bagman and Basketball

I saw it and wish I had not. Such a tragedy and serious injury for him. Gotta give the team credit for recovering from that sight and winning the game.

RE: NASCAR & Tony...thoughts?

Well that's an opinion, we all got 'em. I still believe in the old fair for the goose is fair for the gander quote myself. NASCAR loves the controversy.

RE: NASCAR & Tony...thoughts?

Interesting read about the penalties / non-penalties....LINK. Interesting article and all true. By the past standards Tony should have been fined and probably should have been hit with a points deduction too. I don't remember punches being thrown without at least a slap on the wrist from NASCAR. Hamlin should not have been fined for what he said. Hope he recovers from his injury quickly. Back problems are hard to shake. Clearly sometimes people's opinions are skewed by their love/hate of a driver.

RE: NASCAR & Tony...thoughts?

It will be interesting to see if Tony has set a new "limit" for colorful language during interviews or if NASCAR fines the next person that has a tantrum on camera. I still think it's wrong to stick a mike in their face when they are upset like that. You never see that on an NFL game. :) Go Kyle, Jr, Brad, Kurt

RE: NASCAR & Tony...thoughts?

. "Think of all the great drivers out there that could handle that car she putt putts around in." . . Hey Rocket, think of all the great drivers that do NOT have what Danica has that got her the ride in that car. IMO she was smart to realize and understand what she has,....which is the ability to make someone a whole lot of money (namely Mr. Go Daddy). All pro drivers are commodities, and some are luckier than others (at time of birth even). Where would Jr be if he had been born deep in the holler into a nameless family? Oh good grief. Half of us would be big time drivers if we had had a background of racing for our entire lives with a lot of money behind us. Most of those drivers could not do what we have done to get our little fortunes that we have accumulated if they had had to compete in our world. As much disrespect as I have for the Bodines :) the best statement I have heard came from one of them when he said "The best racer out there is probably driving a milk truck somewhere and will never be on a race track". It's all about opportunity and desire. Tony lost his cool and by today's NASCAR standards should pay a fine whether I agree with it or not. Joey did nothing wrong. He race beyond his cars capabilities and wrecked Hamlin when he lost the car. Bad deal but that's racin.

RE: Class A coaches driving the speed limit

Who really cares what others do. I don't care what speed you drive at. I drive 65 and feel good about it because it feels good to me and suits my motor home. I have driven faster and slower at times but hopefully no one noticed. :) I hope everyone has a safe and comfortable trip and arrives safely.

Thanks for the post. I had no idea that Walmart had ever done oil changes on motor homes. It was interesting to see how many people could blast you for posting though. Hopefully you wil post again in spite of the rude reception.

RE: Not Happy

Sad to say, I would not bother that dealer with my purchases in the future if I could order it direct or buy it from the big box store that will allow returns. Hence the beginning of the end for small businesses because they don't have the resources to compete with them. But the consumer must take what is the best deal for them.

Best race I have seen this year. It was good. Seriously hope everyone is OK. Go Kyle, JR, Brad, Kurt.

RE: RV cost versus your net worth?

Good question to make you think a little. If you are happy it does not matter what the balance is or what the RV is worth. Me... about 1-4% depending if the tank is full or not. :) It is worth a lot more when I am in it and looking at the lake, mountains, or ocean, from my recliner, with a cold drink in my hand after a long day of prowling the area.
