I'm going to revive this thread because I need further input. Since I replaced the fuse in June, I've blown 3 more fuses - 2 in the last month while we were parked. The latest was today and I think that I can link it to when I tried to fire up our 120V air compressor in the basement.
Our current electrical connections are:
- 50A outlet to
- 50A autoformer to
- 50A surgeguard to coach
When I switched on the compressor, the electric motor cycled once or twice and then the surgeguard cut out. I rechecked the connections and restarted the compressor and it charged up but never would restart after that and the surgeguard kicked out each time.
Any thoughts how running 120V AC in the basement might cause the 225A primary fuse connecting the 12V DC battery bank to the rest of the coach to blow? My gut says that the Heart Freedom 25 charger/inverter is somehow involved but I don't see how.
