How long to fill your tank? Pump performance
This is a bit off the wall but how long does it take to pump fuel at your normal station?
The closest diesel to me is at a chain called Turkey Hill, good price and no problems with quality, unfortunately the pumps are excrutiatingly slow. I timed them this morning at less than 2 gals per minute and i was the only vehicle there. I go to a Loves on occasion and thiers are much much quicker although i have never timed them.
My truck was below 1/8th tank this morning which meant that i needed aroudn 30 gallons, i quit pumping after 12 gallons because i was going to be borderline late for work if i had filled up the whole way.
Does anyone know what a "normal" rate should be for pumps? I emailed Turkey Hill this morning to voice my displeasure with the slow pump speed.
