RE: Dealer refusing to do Warranty work?

Why did you drive the 700 miles to buy it instead of buying from the local dealer? Just curious. I would go get the RV as soon as possible and ask to meet with the GM and the Owner if they are not one in the same. RV dealers are not Car dealers. They are not required to perform warranty work on RVs bought elsewhere. Why DID you drive 1400 miles (RT) to buy when you had a local dealer? How much did you "save?" Did you know that warranty work is often a LOSS for dealers due to low reimbursement rates? It's not surprising that they don't want to support someone who does not work with them.

RE: Class B resale value

I found an incredible deal from a car dealer who took a Pleasureway Excel TS 6 years old, great shape and 35k miles in trade. Apparently had no idea about RVs, and especially B's. I picked it up for $17k. You need to act fast with B's because the demand for good used ones far outstrips the supply.

RE: Class B Motorhome Vibration While Driving

Although I would not buy without being able to drive, it is true that most MH insurance will NOT cover a vehicle being consigned. In fact, they specifically exclude it. Of course, that would also be the case with the salesperson driving it too, so... BTW. My 2003 Pleasureway on the Ford E-350 handles much better after I put Bilsteins on it. Now has 50k miles, bought it 2 years ago with 14k

RE: Class c, b or even a?

You will likely find you best value will be in a used C. B's carry a premium.

RE: Rialta QD

I have driven Rialtas from time to time when one was traded in on the lot. I thought them a bit underpowered. Just FYI though, while the Rialta LOOKS like it is a class B, it technically is a Class C, built on a cut-away chassis.

RE: New to motorhome problems

Are you sure it's not a inverter instead of converter? I don't know the difference. No, it's a converter. . Your converter takes 120v AC and turns it to 12v dc. Most also contain chargers to charge the battery. An inverter takes 12v dc and turns it to 120v AC.

RE: Class c, b or even a?

15k will not buy you a reliable rv. your better off at the YMCA. or find a nice beach condo. Or.. You need to be a better shopper. While you may have to look a bit, 15k certainly can buy you a reliable older motor home, class a b or c.

RE: Propane tanks will not fill

I agree, swap them at Walmart or something and move on. Yes, stick someone else with the problem. Why should you pay when you can dump the problem on others. Oh for Pete sake! That's the business they're in. You bring us your old empty tank and give us money and will let you have this nice fully functional full one. It's a trade in business. Blue Rhino's own website tells you that "exchanging a tank is a recycling process that keeps old tanks out of landfills". They tell you to "bring ANY tank and exchange it for a freshly painted Blue Rhino tank." No, that's not the business they are in. They are in business to sell propane. They are not in business to give anyone who wants a free propane tank. Or am I wrong. Should I scour the dumps for old rusted useless tanks and get my "freshly painted blue rhino tanks" for free.

RE: Camping alone

Maybe that's why so many people pull in right next to me when I WANT to be alone. And it's you're, not your. I am sure glad the spelling police are active. And rude! Amen! That grammar lesson was uncalled for, and rude. I wonder if the grammar police ever make mistakes?

RE: Lake in the Woods Rv Park, PA

We have stayed at Lake In wood Many times. It's a nicely maintained CG with a good mix of woodsy privacy (in the wooded section) and amenities. We live in South Jersey and come up through Delaware to get there. we usually take 41 to PA 10. takes about an hour and 15 mins from Prices Corner DE.

RE: campground near shadymaple in pa

You might also like Lake in Wood. Very close to shady maple, beautifully maintained, but a bit pricey. There are also quite a number of decent cgs over on rt 30 down from all the outlets that are only a 10 minute ride from shady maple.

RE: Cast-iron..Everything everything sticks

I routinely give mine a quick wash with slightly soapy water. No sticking problems, but it has been in use for years ans is well seasoned. One rule we follow. NO One washes my cast iron but me.
