RE: External water tank?

I wouldnt do the roof mount. but I like what Doughere said about mounting them under the floor like the waste water tanks. should be lots of room between the steel beams that make up your frame. good luck and welcome to the forum.

tongue receiver for a bike rack.

Does anyone know where to buy one of these 2" receivers that I see mounted on the tongue of fifth wheels? they are basically a standard receiver with a 45% base to them. I cannot find them on the internet and I cannot believe someone isnt mass producing them yet.

RE: Home Dump site

i heard that the chemicals in the holding tank will kill the enzymes in the septic tank and it is not advisable to do that.

RE: Laminate floors???

I bought some vinyl that really looked like hardwood from Manington floors and cut it to fit in one big piece. took several hours to make a template and to cut it just right. glued and stapled it down. covered the edges with some nice quarter round molding and bam. it looked awesome I sold that rig otherwise i would show you a picture.

RE: Homemade RV Sewer Tote

you may be able to weld one together but the weight would be a lot more I would think. I see the cheapest way would be a 30 gallon plastic barrel modified somehow. Either way be sure to put big tires on it for all kinds of terrain to make it easier to maneuver.

RE: Battery Switch Adds a little 5th Wheel Security

okay so what's to stop them from using the manuel hand crank? I agree with kabb449 if a thief wants it he/she will find a way to get it. I have a battery cutoff and my landing gear controls are in a locked compartment. but again easily pried open with a crowbar or a just use a standard trailer compartment key. either way does me no good when the manueal hand crank access is in plain sight on and easily accessible. I dont worry about it. life is to short.
