RE: Considering renewal for 10th year (some questions)

For others, you can get a 13 month standard plan for $79.95 through Camping World and also get a $15 merchandise certificate. I have done this before and they figure out who you are and they link it to your previous account.

RE: Air conditioner problem

I turned the shaft--it wasn't stuck. Also unplugged and reconnected the motor. It now works fine. Thanks.

Air conditioner problem

It sounds like the compressor starts but the blower doesn't come on. Any ideas where to look first?

RE: Alignment

There is no alignment that I'm aware of. If you would do one of your "searches", you will find a lot about alignments that you are not aware of.

My Anniversary

Just wanted to let you know this marks my 20th anniversary of giving up work---and I'm only 57. I didn't start RVing until a couple of years later.

RE: Marathon Fl restaurant recommendation

X 4 on Sunset. There is also a nice place on your side of town--bay side, the Island Fish Company.

RE: ReserveAmerica - time you make reservations FL State Park ?

I used to have, at any given time, $3000 of paid up waterfront reservations at Bahia Honda. That's five two week stays in the next 11 months. The early bird gets the worm. And it was no problem for me to drive 4000 miles round trip for each reservation. You Florida residents can book 11 months out, like everyone else. I'm now a Florida resident and live about 8 miles from Bahia Honda. I go over there about every day.

RE: Wichita Kansas and tornados

If you see a tornado, you should be concerned---other wise, no.

RE: What RV sites to post for help wanted?

Looks like he wants someone to drive his RV to Texas for him. I see posts like that frequently here. Don't know why that would be deleted? Maybe because he approaches as being a job. Rather than just needing some help, he is willing to "offset expenses".

RE: What RV sites to post for help wanted?

How about craigslist or a newspaper?

RE: New Mexico Camping Taxes

It is always tempting to raise taxes for people from somewhere else. You are never in a position to have to ask for their vote. Tempting??---They bank on it in the Keys.

RE: Redwood 5th Wheel

Only thing upscale about the Redwood is the price. They raise price by $20,000 and make people think that it is an upscale Fifth Wheel which it is not. The paint looks good---like lipstick. Wonder how they build them so light?

RE: Redwood 5th Wheel

Wow - short investigation and a lot of assumption. The exposed ice maker line is now insulated. I'm sure it was an oversight rather than a "shortcut" :R Insulated or not, if water isn't moving through it, it can freeze. The whole thing is a shortcut.

RE: Redwood 5th Wheel

A Redwood I looked at had a water line running from the frame to the kitchen slide---just hanging out there exposed. Not really something you find on high end units. Probably a money saving "shortcut". I'm sure it's got many more.

RE: Aches National Park

Dead Horse Point State park is one of the neater places I've visited. And it's close to Canyonlands Nat Park.

RE: Sealing the paint

Ask the dealer how much they have paid out in warranty claims.

You buy new tanks and trade them in on used tanks?

RE: Pets on the Alaska Marine Highway

My dog didn't do well on the Alaska ferry, dispite having some tranquilizers. He pawed at the door, ripped up the screen and set off the fire extingusher--really. On my next ferry trip to Newfoundland, I stayed in the RV with him. It kidda funny seeing the all of the dog people trying to get their dog to go before boarding.
