RE: Looking for a wireless back up camera

I've been thinking about getting the iball hitch cam. Gets decent reviews on Amazon.

RE: Gulf Shores State Park

We love the Shrimp Basket. There are several around the area.

RE: Route around Nashville

Avoid rush hour (morning especially from that direction) and you'll be fine. Otherwise 840 is a good option.

RE: Campgrounds Near Cookeville, TN

You don't want to stay at Twin Lakes. It's just a strip of spots with hookups.

RE: Share reasons why you upgraded from a PUP to a HTT or TT?

We had a pop-up that we were perfectly happy with. We made the mistake of going to the RV show "just for something to do." Suddenly we had a TT. It is nice to have a real bathroom, and the ability to fully load it before a trip. Setup is easier but we never minded setting up the popup.

RE: OMG! We Done Went Out And Bought One!

One cheap item we enjoy occasionally is a small cheap charcoal grill. I think it cost $3. Fine for burgers or steaks and doesn't take up much space. There are nicer small grills but this one cooks just fine.

RE: Henry Horton State Park, TN

Henry Horton is a great park, but yes could use some upgrades. Many of the sites are 20 amp only. But we have always been able to get a 30 amp site. Good hiking and as previous poster said, new bath houses. Staff always very friendly.

RE: Outside plug for camper

I had an electrician install a 30 amp plug on the side of the house. I told him beforehand that it needed to be 120v, not 240. He wired it up and it should have been good to go. He looked at the box as an afterthought. He realized that he had wired it as 240 even after I told him that it had to be 120v. Obviously fixed it but it could have been a disaster.
