RE: What kind of safe

I installed a Gunvault in all of my vehicles and they work quite well. www.gunvault.com

RE: Image Stablizing Binoculars

I have the Fujinon 14X stabilized binoculars. They work well, especially in the marine environment where you may be in motion. The optics however can not compare to my Zeiss or Swarovski binoculars. If you do not really need the stabilization, then I recommend the Swarovski's.

RE: Getting ready to pull the trigger...

If you are going to order an ERA, you may want to consider having them delete the rather extensive graphics on the exterior. In my opinion, the graphics on the ERA ruin the vehicle.

RE: Dicor application temperature

I used a little sealant this week when it was 32 degrees. I set up a small 'tent' around the port I was sealing and let my small ceramic heater keep the small area warm until it had cured.

RE: Honda EU6500IS Inverter Generator

I have had a EU6500IS for two years and it is phenomenal. We lose electricity quite often as we live on the Ocean and it works like a charm. Biggest problem is that our closest neighbor, who is 1/4 mile away, has a POS cheapo and it is VERY noisy. In fact, I have stood 30 feet from the Honda and I hear his over mine. Buy the 6500.

Battery Bank Recharge Time?

I have two (2) AGM Lifeline 31's with a total of 210 amps, which will be recharged by the onboard 2800kw Onan. The charger/converter is a 60 amp 3 stage Powermax. If the batteries are discharged to 50%, how long should it take to recharge the above. I have not done it yet so I do not actually know, but I am sure a few of you experts will have an idea. Thanks in advance..............Rob

RE: Buy, or wait until the new vans are out?

I see the Ford Transit in Europe every week, and in my opinion, they are poorly built and are rather unattractive. It is hard to beat the lines of the Sprinter.

RE: Washing your B.

I bring it to a professional detail shop. Actually you "take" it to a professional detail shop and you "bring" it home afterwards. Just sayin'. And your point is?

RE: Washing your B.

Most car washes are too low to accommodate a class B. I just washed mine an hour ago at home to keep the road salt to a minimum. When it is time to wax, I bring it to a professional detail shop.

RE: To our dear friends in the NE blizzard

It is amazing how soft most Americans have become. I went to school in China and spend much time in Siberia. I am in New Hampshire now and this is a nothing.

I wish you the best of luck in whatever B you choose. There are a plethora of choices, and when spending $100K or more, you have a well deserved right in getting the features you truly want. Looking forward to some pictures of your new pooch palace......Rob

RE: New Here and Looking for a Class B

As you will be travelling alone most of the time, a 170 would work. As mentioned above, size if a personal preference. I absolutely love the 17 foot length of the 170, and as I travel alone for work, the smaller size is perfect. Parking the 170 is easy, and due to the fact that I removed all of the Roadtrek decals, it is quite stealthy as well. While I love the small size of the 170, my wife finds it very claustrophobic. Spend as much time in one either at a dealer or at a show. I asked if you would be using it in freezing conditions, because if you did, you would most likely be unable to shower as the Roadtrek's in the 2000 to 2004 range have external tanks. I purchased my gently used and mint condition 170 for less than the NADA value, but it took a year and I had to travel to pick it up. I would also check out the YouTube ad's for class B's as they will give you a good idea as to the size of each unit with a person inside for scale. Best of Luck and let us know what you discover.
