RE: refrigerator fan cycles

I have a 2011 Sunseeker 2300. I had the identical noise problem. It drove me crazy. I had it back to the dealer two times, said it was NORMAL. I had them replace the fan on the refrigerator. Cost me $200 but it was the end of noise. They said it took them three hours. They also moved the heat sensor switch about one inch. good luck, Mick

RE: Michelin Tires on Sunseeker

They did replace them with M&S2 tires. I would be great if I didn't have to replace these. Thanks, Mick

Michelin Tires on Sunseeker

I purchased new my 2011 Forest River Sunseeker 2300. Two years later and 11,000 miles the tires were all dry rot. Michelin agreed to give me 85% off the 7 replacement tires which wes fair. Turns out my spare tire that came with my NEW motorhome wes a different brand. I just never checked. I ended up paying full price for the spare. I am courious if others have checked. Thanks, Mick

RE: cost of tolls and EZ Pass from ME to FL

We always take I81 to I77 south and miss all the tolls. It is a much better drive IMHO. Mick

RE: Miles per day/hours on the road

Wife and I have made the trip cross country 4 times, We average 800 miles day one. 700 miles day two and 600 day three. Always stay at a Flying J or rest area. We average 50 miles per hour with stops. Talking books really help pass the time. Have fun! Mick

Generator question

I have a sunseeker 2300. I turned off the master switch for the house batteries to put it away for the winter. While checking around to my dismay the generator started when I pushed the start button. Does the generator work off the truck battery? I was always under the assumption when boondocking I run it for an hour every day to recharge the house batteries. I guess I have been lucky that the truck battery would still start the motorhome. Mick

RE: Slick Ride

Now that Ford is discontinuing its E Series we will probably see more built in the F series like this one. Mick

How much will it cost?

I am considering towing my 2006 Honda CRV automatic. I have no idea what it would cost. It isn’t something I would do myself. Thanks, Mick.

RE: leveling without hydraulics

I have had great luck using two tri-levelers. http://www.rvupgradestore.com/Camco-TRI-LEVELERYELLOW-p/94-3718.htm I used to use the block type but they were always breaking. Mick

RE: Researching our first motorhome

We are very happy with our Forest River Sunseeker 2300. We took a 7000 mile trip across the country in it had all the room we need and no need for any suspension upgrades. Handles just fine. Small enough for any campground (some sites were 26 foot max). I haven't had any problem getting around town. Before you buy actually try out the bed and stand in the shower etc. Good luck! Mick

Cape Cod Advice

I have campground reservations from Saturday to Saturday at the Cape. My plan is to leave home Friday evening taking I90 east and 495 south. I am looking for a place (rest area etc.)to spend the evening. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Mick

RE: going to the Class c darkside

Welcome to the dark side. I made the move from my truck camper to a motormome and haven't looked back. The whole idea is just to get out on the road and this makes it easier for ME. Mick

Fresh Water Tank

Do you keep water in your fresh water tank between trips? If so how long? Thanks, Mick

RE: Traveling to Yellowstone

One of my last trips to wellowstone I drive non stop (stayed at rest areas etc.)to Cody Wyoming. Great town and museum. Spend one full day there then on to Yellowstone for 4 nights. Head south to grand teton and Jackson Hole. IMHO don't go all that way without stoping in Jackson Hole. Have fun! Mick

RE: Overhead Bed

Not all rear queen beds are created equil. Some brands are only 75". Our Sunseeker 2300 is 80". Big difference. The Cabover bed is even longer. Mick
