RE: Domectic Duo Therm Penguin not operating properly?

I will have to look at the schematic, as doing some testing for the last couple of days the unit definately shuts off when it reaches temp and then turns back on. I think I also have a bearing going out in the motor so I will need to see how difficult that is to get out of there and replace. It will get a work out this weekend though as we are loaded and headed to Calistoga, CA for our Anniversary! Looking forward to getting away.

RE: Domectic Duo Therm Penguin not operating properly?

That is interesting because the manual even speaks of the fan running continously. I will have to do some experimenting to see if it will restart after it does it cycle. If it makes any difference I am not using a thermostat to control not sure if you are.
My Dometic Penguin operates just like that. When it reaches the temperature set-point it shuts off completely.
I believe yours is operating normally.

Domectic Duo Therm Penguin not operating properly?

I just installed a Penguin 11k BTU on my camper to gain some extra inches to be able to get it under the rv spot without hitting it. The problem I am having with the unit is on cool and tempature set to the highest it runs fine. If I turn the tempature knob to less cold it shuts the unit off instead of just the compressor. I have never owned a Dometic Product but I don't think it should do that as my Coleman the fan would stay on and the compressor just cycles. Any input would be appreciated.

RE: Info on winegard carryout satelite ant.

That is one cool thing I like about the Tailgator it gets all its power from the Coax so there is no need for the 12v plug. One issue I have is that when I am running on generator and shut it off and then fire the gen back up at somepoint it has to do it's search all over again unless I am doing something incorrect.

RE: New (old) Bigfoot, now some questions?

I tried to PM you regarding your air conditioner but it stated you don't accept PM's. Looking at replacing mine with a low profile but was wondering what your Bigfoot came with and you are in Napa only 40 miles or so from me.

I have the Dish Tailgator and for the price you can't beat it and it has HD channels.

RE: (N) 14" x 14" Vent Hole

Don't know why you didn't get a reply to you first question . 14"x14" is a standard vent size . If you are replacing an existing one there are tons of choices , fixed , powered and manual .
As far as cutting a new hole you should contact the TC manufacturer to see what they recommend.
The skylight that is there now is approx. 22" x 15" and you can't open it so I am thinking of adding a fantastic fan as well.

(N) 14" x 14" Vent Hole

I asked the question awhile ago if anyone has found something to fit in the existing skylight opening that would be openable in my AF 1150 and didn't come up with any answers. Now has anyone cut a new hole in the roof and added a vent or a fantastic fan to the cabover in an AF? I have seen a few that it looks as they have added a vent in front of the skylight but these are newer units than my 03. Looking forward to suggestions.

RE: Any 1999-2004 F250/F350 Longbed Owners with Torklift here?

Those would be for an aftermarket hitch or a closed tube hitch. Mine are the same and I had to drill into my Reese hitch. Haven't had a problem with them yet.

RE: Compressor Recommendation

I run an ExtremeAire 100% duty cycle compressor. Again not cheap but to me worth every penny as I can run my 1/2" air gun with it and fill as many and as big of tires that I want without worry of it shutting down. If you would like any other info you can PM.

RE: Battery Box

Torklift now makes a battery box that is sealed from the elements and mounts the truck frame. Haven't seen one in person but looks like a good idea for campers with small battery box's.
