RE: Help pipes keep freezing!!!!

Its been to 10F here in Oklahoma, I second heat tape AKA "wate pipe heat cable".
http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xhm/R-100196820/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
Tape the heat cable along any exposed hose and/or pipes you dont want to freeze, then wrap them in some type of foam insulation, then wrap with some duct tape or something to help keep the rain out.
Good luck.
X2
Get the split pipe insulation. Put the heat tape in with the hose and you will not freeze. The heat tape will not hurt the hose even though the packaging says not recommended. The outside sun beating on the hose will get it hotter than the heat tape will.

RE: What a Common Rail Injector is doing inside the engine

LOL mowermech. The T56 fuel nozzles are no longer a repairable. They are consumables now.

RE: DODGE or FORD

An ad for attorneys? Now that's oily :p
May be too much for you to grasp but, attorneys do handle lawsuits.
I think that Dodge die-hards just have a problem accepting reality. Here's more reality, Ford has been the number 1 selling pickup for how many years in a row now? Heck, Dodge hasn't even made the top 2 position in pickup truck sales yet. Shhh, listen, I think I can hear Dodge owners cringe.:E
Google Ford Class Action Lawsuits if you can stand it :B
Can't find a single one involving the 6.4, maybe you can find one and post a link? Let me guess, you think the 6.0 and 6.4 are the same engine?
No, but the 6.4 is starting to follow the estranged path of the 6.0.

RE: Furnace is so much quiter

Awesome job. One of thses days I plan on doing the same. I only have 79 sq in of inlet area for my furnace. I can easily dbl that on the existing panel and throw a high flow filter on there and never have an issue with restriction.
Fordsooperdooty just can't grasp reality and real world results over what a manufacturer/engineer's "golden" word is.
FWIW I've seen quite a few do-it-yourselfers "reengineer" something and then complain because it doesn't work correctly and blame the original design. Sometimes the engineers design it that way for reason. JMO.
every reason to complain in that case.

RE: DODGE or FORD

Clicky
The mighty Cummins may not be what it once was. You may want to look around before making a decision based on opinions from those that don't own said vehicle(s).
Nice try. Another typical class action law suit that will net you nothing. They will offer you $50 if you never speak of it again blazzy blazzy blah bull crap.

RE: DODGE or FORD

Best engine is Cummins by far. Drive them and then decide. Maybe you will get lucky and not get a troublesome PowerStroke. But, if your a betting man, bet against the PowerStroke.

RE: engine block heater cord

Save yourself from fumbling around with the cord by getting a Marinco 150BBI plug and mount it where ever you like.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y108/NavyDood/MarincoPlug.jpg
Yes, I installed it on the air dam. All it is, is a Marinco 150BBI receptacle. You cut the end of the block heater cord off and hard wire it to the Marinco receptacle. http://www.amazon.com/Marinco-150BBI-Marine-Charger-125-Volt/dp/B000NI38MG

RE: How Sweet It Is...........

TCU needed the Florida and Texas loss to have a shot at the big game. Nebraska darn near made that happen for them. When a very small college like TCU nips on the heals of the cherished "big" college teams, I find that more impressive than the big schools with 10x the budget in their academics. Go TCU.

RE: SLOW COOKERS

Oops, thought they said Class A. Same answer though. If the Class C has a generator, you have all the 120v you need while bouncing down the road.

RE: Newbie Question: Do you leave the Water Heater on?

My hot water heater runs on LP all the time. I never shut it off. When I go on leave during the winter months I will not shut it off in fear of freezing. This could be as long as a two week period. Sustaining the heat in the hot water heater takes less propane than letting it cool off and heating it all back up again.

RE: 30 amp RV and 50 amp from the post

Think of your RV as an appliance. If you plug an electric can opener into a 15 amp outlet will it be fried even though it draws less than 2 amps?
That is just an ignorant statement.
How's that an ignorant statement? The poster is giving them a easier way to understand/digest the question.
