RE: loading up your travel trailer

have 1400 lbs capacity left over in our unique bunk house hybrid. Front outdoor storage gets chairs to fishing poles. Front inside storage gets the water heater and clothes for my wife and me. MID curb side floor to roof pantry holds dry goods, bath towels, beach towels, blankets. Street side under bunk clothes storage for the kiddos. Rear outdoor/indoor under lower bunk bed pack and play, sewer tote, lumber, blocks, and chocks. K2500 sub carries canoe, camping tote, rvq grill, screen room, paddles, and life jackets. Two kids and a large black lab ( lab and one car seat third row) toddler on middle row passenger captain, large cube cooler in place of the flipped forward driver side captain.

RE: Who here cooks inside camper or Outside camper?

We rarely use the oven or stove. If you were tenting, would you cook inside the tent? For us all the cooking is done outside, rain or shine........under the awning if we have to.
Camping is camping and you have to rough it a bit.......
Dre
we rough it up enough with hybrid bunk house.

RE: Rusty at backing up TT

i merely track the curb side wheels while looking out the driver side passenger window. i have a sloped driveway and have to pivot around a detached garage at the top. On the street hook the trailers nose to the right, and start backing slow. Back to the left and watch the bumper almost hit the driveway, get the driver side wheels in line with the left side of the driveway, straighten the truck and then start the pivot around the garage. Backing into a site is a cake walk.

RE: Shopping Jayco Jayfeather Hybrid -Thoughts?

Seems reasonable, would be in line with what we looked at when we were shopping. Though I think prices in Canada might be a bit higher? I like the dinette with the couch along the side, makes for a nice walkway to the bed.
How is the u dinette up front treating you? My wife hates the bench infront of our front bunk.

RE: Inexpensive Kids Toys? Foam Planes, etc.....

For glow in the dark bubbles.
Break open a glow stick and pour into the jar of bubble solution. It will make the solution glow at night. Kids love it to have bubbles they blow being lit up.
Cherry
I am trying that!!!.

I use a 25 gallon tote n store for my 30 gallon gray/black tanks. The only time i used it for black duty is valve repair, flushouts, or post hurricane boondocking at home. It as a pain to transport but a needed item for a father of 2 daughters.
