Well there you go;
Nothing "Plug-n-Play" about 'em; you better KNOW what you are doing when funding something that is going to run several times the cost of conventional battery plants. And you better have above average skills when it comes to electronic design/sizing, assembly, etc. as well as have all the tools and test equipment to determine if you did it right. For a recreationalist RV'er with no electronic background, it's really not feasible. For the hobbyist or the guy rich enough to own the latest and greatest perhaps...
Good point.....bottom line He who dies with the most toys wins!

RE: Liberty Medical supply

I called them this morning.
They no long supply Diabetic testing supplies and no longer supply the Insulin.
They now send you to another company Ariva Medical Supply. These people only provide a diabetic glucose meter called Prodigy. They will only supply them no others.

Does any know or have heard of that Liberty Medical supply has lost their billing with Medicare for diabetic supplies and medicines due to fraud?
I was wondering because of Bi-pap supplies and Diabetic Testing Supplies.

RE: Bruising less and it's got me worried

I have used generic plavix (clopidogrel, 75 mg.) for the last two years and have NOT noticed any lack of bruising! The manufacturer is Apotex.
What brand/mfr/dosage are you using?
This is my generic and dose also.
Same here and I don't bruise as much also still seem to bleed like a stuck pig though.

RE: air it out

When we hit the road FT 6 yrs. ago I purchased a Viair 450 Portable 12V DC Air Compressor.
We travel weekly/bi-monthly.
Use it to top off trailer tires (110#) and to air up truck tires from 50# to 80# each travel day (I air truck tires down after towing until travel day)
Great little air compressor that pumps them tires right up.
One Source for them
I have the same unit you can also get it here look here
Good luck

RE: RV Park Hookups

Are you sure the lot was not intended for a motorhome to just pull in? We stayed at a park that was that way. If you backed into the site the sewer was on the wrong side, but motorhomes and truck campers could just pull in instead of back in.
We have stayed in a couple of state campgrounds and a couple of county campgrounds here in wackofornia

RE: Ham Radio enthusiasts

I have been looking for a CHEAP second control head for my IC706. I currently have spots in both my truck and OFF-ROAD POPUP for the ICOM706 but I am wearing the radio mount out moving the one ICOM706 I have between the two places haha... Same thing with my TARHEEL screwdriver antenna. I can move it between the truck or trailer as well...
I think I could solve the whole thing by installing a long CAT5 control head cable with disconnect plugs between the two units and maybe leave the ICOM main unit in the truck. I am about ready to install my dual battery banks with one 300AH on the trailer and a second 300AH setup in the bed of the truck. When camping they can both be keep charged up interconnected together with a 2-cond cable hookup from the trailer.
My TARHEEL antenna works better on the truck with all the metal ground plane around it. My backup HF antenna is a short 3-inch triangle tower I can swing up on the back of my trailer about 12-feet which will get me up about 25 off the ground with a PVC pipe in the middle and I hang a windom off center fed 80-10 wire antenna off that. Throw the ends up into trees. My antenna is more of Vee instead of Inverter Vee. It does work pretty good however - Better than the TARHEEL on 80 and 40... I get alot of bad looks from the RV crowd however...
Just need to find a CHEAP junker ICOM706 for sale for parts only and steal its control head haha...

RE: Ford 460 Owners - who has NOT had broken exhaust bolt/leak?

I have a 95 F-250....it has a 460 cid. It's the exact same motor that has been used in ford Class-A and Ford Class-C RV's my truck has 198,765 miles on it. I go to Reno and back a couple of times a year in my truck and in my RV, my RV has a V-10 it's a 2005 Fleetwood Jamboree. I have had no problems with the exhaust in either vehicle although I have heard many horror stories. I know a man that has the same model RV as mine except his is a e350 I am not sure but I think it's a 1995 also.
Good Luck

RE: Scaddan Wash 14-Day Camping Area

It's dark so hopefully you have great headlights and flashlights.
There is a problem with thefts in the BLM campgrounds in the Q area. Make sure you don't leave stuff of value outside.
Wow really, I guess it's no longer safe to go there any more. Oh Well!
Also there are con-artists that operate in the area, so be careful if a non-RVer approaches especially if it's several in a car.
You want con-artists just drive down any street in California and or Arizona.......the beggars with the signs, homeless please help.
I've been at a couple of the BLM campgrounds in the area but I don't remember the names. Most of the time that late you would drive in find a spot to park in and spend the night, then take care of any check-in (if needed) in the morning.

RE: Whats the difference?

Go for it, looks like a nice unit if it meets your needs buy it. There are a lot of people that will reply negatively. If you like it make an offer....all they can do is say no. If I was looking for a different RV I would really think about buying that unit. Don't make a snap decision but if you and your family like that unit go for it!
Good luck welcome to RV.Net

RE: Dogs age and cleaning teeth

You can check with dog groomers. There are now people that are licensed to clean dogs teeth there. They usually have a clinic several times a year and once you go you are put on a list for the next time. There is something they put in the dogs mouth to keep it open and I have had my dog done several times. The cost is about $100.00 and my dog has never seemed bothered by the procedure. Much less traumatizing than then sedation and was less expensive.

RE: Velveeta Cheese

If you buy Velveeta in the 2 Lb. box, its sealed in foil. Unopened, it'll keep long after humans become extinct.
I can just picture a box of that Veleeta Cheese now. :h :W :R ROFL
