RE: Move from a 5th wheel to motorhome

I know, this is not what you wanted to hear but it may be what you NEEDed to hear. If the economic outlook was better my advice might be different or if you could use it 100 day/year, which I doubt; so until thing improve, enjoy what you already have.... and your welcome.
Well said.............

RE: Bad fuel?

Lumpy
I bought a used DP which had been in storage for 4 years. Lucky me the tank was full. Poured a bottle of Diesel Kleen from Walmart into tank and hit the road for a drive. Had extra filters as a back up. Used about half tank then filled with fresh fuel and more Diesel Kleen. That was three years ago and coach still runs great. Had no damage to pump or fuel system. Actually I use the diesel additive on a regular basis.
Driving over the road trucks for years I did get "bad" fuel occassionally so I learned how to deal with it. I do question the effect of bad fuel in these new units with so many sensors, etc. I have not experienced these situations.

RE: Toad Protection

Have used Tow Car Shield(full front bra cover) for several years. Yes does take time to install & remove but would not tow w/o it.

RE: air bag valve replacement

Hey Rooster,
Sorry about your problems.
I replaced the air valves on my coach a few years ago. Found them on net cheaper than locally. My valves were just a simple disconnect air lines and wire and bolt on new valve. I have older coach so mine maybe somewhat more simple than new coaches.
Good luck.

Towing Dinghy 500 miles daily for 3 days

Have 99 Honda Accord which I have towed 4-down for many years behind diesel pusher. I understand the procedure for auto trans before towing. Planning trip from the Carolinas to panhandle of OK(1500 miles). Have made the trip in m/h before but w/o dinghy. Will travel 500 miles daily(I am aware of the 250 recommended daily towing miles.)Usually stop every 3 hours for check of things. Thought I might have DW drive dinghy first 50-100 miles each day just as precaution. After last years trip we discovered the car is needed. Renting, trailers, friends cars or dollies is not an option.
Would like other opinions of those who have towed across country or long distances 4-down.
