RE: Cleaning the Gray water sensors?

If that does not work they say a bag of ice generally will.. I replaced mine with the Horst sensors. No more issues.

RE: Do you have a Good Sam Rand McNally RVND-7725-Lm GPS

I had it. It is a good unit. I found out it is the same thing as the software they offer for the Ipad. Seeing as how I had an Ipad I sent the unit back and bought the software for 99 bucks. I have a mount in the RV for the Ipad and the Ipad screen is big and nice. You can put in the width and height and weight of the RV and it will guide you around low overpasses, restricted bridges, etc. It will show the campgrounds from woodalls, good sam and private campgrounds on the screen if programmed to do so. I purchased ours from Amazon for 349.00 I would recommend it over the garmin units. It has free lifetime updates for maps and POI's. You generally hook it to your computer for the updates as it won't download it on its own. It even has an Icon to tap on to get current weather for your location as long as you have a connection to the internet through wifi. I have the one on Ipad with the unlimited data so that is not an issue for me. It is always connected to the internet. Hope this helps.

RE: Camper fire

I have been a firefighter for 15+ years. Also former Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Chief in our small community in Texas which I just moved from a year ago.

RE: Camper fire

every time the question comes up about travelling with the frig running, I always say no. the ones who run with it on tell me I'm just an old man who doesn't know any thing. well you just proved I was right all along. Please explain how the act of travelling has anything to do with causing refer fires. I think you're making an illogical conclusion. In all the thousands of posts we've done on this subject, I don't recall a single one saying that a refer can catch fire because of driving. I am a firefighter and every RV fire I have been on HAS been due to refrigerators. Nothing Else. And how many of those were attributable to the vehicle being in motion? NONE

RE: Camper fire

It is just amazing to me how this company can still be putting out these refrigerators that endanger peoples lives and destroy property and they never seem to be held accountable. They know damn well they have a problem and refuse to make them safe for the almighty $$$$. I am a firefighter and every RV fire I have been on HAS been due to refrigerators. Nothing Else.

RE: Any guiding principles on parking a 43' DP?

There is no problem with parking whatsoever. Use truck stops for fuel. Just remember to take the corners a little wider and just watch for tree limbs when parking in a campground.

RE: Camping World RV Service:Good or Bad?

Well lets put it this way. I went to camping world in Nashville to get a front end alignment done on our motor home. Set up appointment and stayed in town the extra days to accommodate them with the appointment time. They took in motor home drove it around to service and called me a hour later to say we don't do alignments on motor homes. We just align travel trailer axles. DUH . . .

RE: D'o's & Don'ts of Camp Grounds

I basically respect the rights of my neighbors and ask that they respect mine. If people were more considerate of others this world would be a much better place. I also obey the campground rules. Nuff Said

RE: Zoomers Rv

Mike, kudos for coming on here to defend yourself and your business. I don`t see the original posters debating what you say. Just saying. Really . . . Well no need to get into a fight with him here. He did refund my money after I left negative feedback on ebay and deposit refund was contingent upon me removing the bad feedback. Previous to that I was told "don't ask me for anything. . . talk to ebay about it" I am still out the $1233 for travel to his place. He can say it was as described all he wants and I say it wasn't so all I am saying is be careful. I have over 50 pics of the unit and issues that were not listed on ebay in his description. Glad you got more from someone else. Bet you it might be on ebay again after the purchaser sees it in person.

They should replace the unit with you just paying your deductible.

RE: Zoomers Rv

I traveled 12 hours to complete a purchase on a diesel pusher. When I got there what a disapointment. Was ready to cry. Rig was a POS with over spray everywhere like someone tried to fix body issues with cans of spray paint. fogged up thremopanes, steps didn't work. Won't refund deposit as of this posting. Says I'll get it back when he sells it. What a thief to take someone's $1000 and not return it. I am currently out $2233 for flights, taxi's, hotels, and misc expenses because of Mike and his lies on the rig.

RE: SAFEGUARD COVERS RENEGS ON WARRANTY

Why would I not consider a Safeguard. It is not the company's fault the guy that sold it to you lied to you. If it was the company itself that lied then yes I wouldn't consider them. Was it the salesman from Safeguard that lied to you???

RE: Winegaard Carryout problem

That is what happens when the satellite cable from the dish to the receiver is no good or not turned on. It needs to see the voltage that is sent down the signal line. Had that problem a couple times.

RE: Ham Radio instead of CB

Why do I need the General license? Not planning on a home base station . Only want to talk local. The fun really starts when you get on HF and talk all around the world, local "radio's for sale" nets,Rv nets etc.

RE: Payment of Sales Tax

Why are people giving advise about California Registering,Virginia, Michigan, SC etc. He asked about buying in Florida and registering at home in SD. I just don't get it You are 100% correct and I was guilty of replying and not answering the OP's question. What is even worse, is that I myself have complained in the past about others not answering an OP's question. I must be more careful when responding. Thank you for giving me a kindly reminder. Take care. Ray I Know . . . I do the same thing too.
