Nah...some are really old and the PUPs I spoke of are like toys. It would be obvious if I started taking pics. Too many yappy, whiny dogs here this time. Folks across the way have three. Every time kids go by all three have to chime in. One is a Beagle so that makes it worse. Then there are the folks by the playground who came in last night, left soon after setting up and their dog whined for several hours.
It is what it is.
I realized with Max early on that he was too busy for me while camping. For my friends who have dogs I have not had any complaints as you all are attentive to them. Other campers may not have the ability to love your pooch as much as you do in certain circumstances.

Very intense and scary t-shower last night. The lightning was way too close and really lighting up the night and rocking the ROO.
Lots of funny looking trailers and RVs here this weekend. I mean really old stuff and many tiny PUPs.

Very quiet here at Elk Neck. One tent and a small Airstream only overnight and they are gone. There are two trailers in the electric only loop.
A lady just pulled into 13 driving a Tundra king cab pulling a 6'x4' Coleman PUP. She had a really tough time backing it in. The tires had to be 10"! The loop now has RESERVED signs on all the sites but one or two. Good to see that.
Frank and Sharon...you still have netting on your site. But now it is a more user friendly green! And there is grass growing as well. Many seedlings have been planted on sites as well.
Looking gloomy since yesterday. Starting to precip. So nice to be able to look out at the water from all over the CG through the trees. Kinda cool.

I am on 2-10. It was yucky but not too busy. Kinda discouraging all week though. The weather is looking great for my five days at Elk Neck this week. High 60s and mid to upper 40s for Lows. No precip observed. Gotta camo all the adult beverages! LOL!

I was ticked that I could not get a site for this past weekend at Elk Neck. Alex had off Friday and it as indeed perfect. Five days next week there for moi. I do not care about the weather.

Not to suggest that as a LEO I 'know' what DNR thinks but I still agree that it is more about policy being enacted AND being able to be ENFORCED if NECESSARY. Now DNR can not only tell you that alcohol and your campsite ain't working out but here is a citation AND please hit the road. That would encourage me to be a good Do Bee if I was someone who thought it was not a big deal.

Well like everyone else we got the phone message..
Ironically, I haven't received a phone call yet. Granted, I'm overseas until mid-November, but my phone is forwarded to a device that will send me the message bye-mail and nothing has come in except a call from my Mom. LOL
Guess that means I'm exempt :B
Geez...maybe they think you DO NOT drink! LOL!

Not to really change the subject, but has anyone ever camped at Morris Meadows. Their website looks nice but their campground map is hard to understand. Wondering for next NYE, that's all.:)
It is really a small CG. More of a local thing.

Robo-Don-Chris or Frank... Gary and I are trying to get a picture of the trailer onto our signature, I know that the size requirements are 100KB and 640X480 if I have a photo that is 839KB and 2407X1887 can that be shrunk down to the required size if so how is it done
Either edit it prior to uploading it or when the upload image block is there use width=640 height=480 and that should work.

It is a tad ironic that in fact a motor vehicle would be allowed to have alcoholic beverages (nobody drinks 'alcohol' folks...maybe winos) but I understand why they are drawing the line in the sand. Does the word 'self-contained' mean anything?

Once again, I do believe DNR is taking this seriously, as should we. However, it is how it will be monitored. DNR probably does feel the legitimate and legal requirement to contact those who have made reservations prior to 11/01 for dates after 11/01. After that it there will be a notification on our online reservations.
No different than when I stop you for speeding. Your 'warning' was on the Speed Limit sign.
