If you try to go camping "this" weekend then yeah, yer nuts. If not, the first place that comes to mind for me is Crystal Palace CG in Galena. Look it up on the web. The rates are reasonable. You got the antique enterprising town of Galena, and 15 miles a way is the Mississippi river with casinos etc.
RE: Pigs in the campground
I'm dissapointed - at first, I thought you meant there were actual PIGS in the campground - I love pigs!
My experience at state parks has been similar.
RE: Darwinism - it seems "those people" are the ones surviving.
I also love PIGS. They are delicious with mustard!
Seriously though, some people mare born slobs. Then again, in defense of the drunks, "they don't know what they are doing when they are intoxicated". Oooooookaaaaaaaaaaaay.

That's great! That CG owner obviously has a conscience. My wife fell in the shower at a CG in Wisconsin, and, not only were they not concerned, I had to take her to the emergency room 12 miles away myself.
