RE: Rockford, Illinois

My wife and I travel that route a lot and never have had any problems with traffic in that area and we tow a 36' 5th wheel. All the afternoon traffic on Labor Day will be headed south. Don't worry about the toll booth and have a great trip.

RE: Another Arizona in the Winter Query

I assure you, the temps in southwest Az. do get chilly after 4 pm. We stayed at Del Pueblo resort in Yuma one January, and my electric bill was $150 (electric heat).

RE: So where will you be???

Spending the winter at Deer Creek RV and Golf Resort, Davenport, Fl. Great place and near Disney. We were at the Magic Kingdom yesterday and the place was packed. Might spend Thanksgiving with Mickey and Minnie again next week. We have annual passes so we can come and go as we please. Happy Holidays everyone!

RE: Weather is saying get going!

We are now in Central Florida, near Disney, and the weather has been great. Got here last week Wed. Went to Epcot for the Wine festival and had a great time. My wife has agreed that we will always leave Wis. sometime in Oct. before it gets too cold. I'll have to work on maybe changing that to late Sept. Anyway, anybody that hasn't left yet, get going.

RE: Dump Gloves

I have been RVing for 40 years and have never used gloves for dumping. Keep things in tip top shape, and you don't need them. Just rinse with soap and water and your all set.

RE: GMC 3500 SLT Diesel coming Moday 11/10/2014

Go with the Hensley and you won't have any sway problems either. I towed a 34 ft. travel trailer all over the country and never, I mean never, had any sway problems.

RE: Weather is saying get going!

Oh come on Silverand, we're in Panama City Beach and it only got down to 42 last nite/this morning (Burrrrrrr). Not to worry, we're heading further south on Tuesday. Suppose to be in the 80's by then.

RE: What turns on your "time to go" clock

X2 on the either or both. Leaving next Wednesday because it's late Oct in Wisconsin and it's getting cold. Be back next April sometime.

RE: Your favorite place you've been

Driving the "Old Fall River" road up to the Alphine center in Rocky Mountain National Park. Simply amazing.

RE: windy towing

I wouldn't even hesitate to leave. As stated by others, with your rig you, won't even notice it. I tow a large, heavy trailer and would appreciate the "tail wind".
