RE: COE sites North Georgia

Bald Ridge Campground and Old Federal are wonderful COE campgrounds on Lake Lanier and not that far from Helen and Tallulah. We spend time at both of them every year even though we live fairly close by in northeast GA.

RE: SOS: share your recipe

I make a plain white sauce, pepper but no salt because of the salty beef - always keep several jars in pantry. We like it served over Chinese rice noodles so we have some crunch along with the soft sauce.

RE: Georgia mountains

Vogel State Park is the best for this family - this has been our favorite for many decades. We have traveled extensively in our motorhome, but pulling into Vogel is like 'going home'. A beautiful park, great staff, things to do for every age. Note: And we live in Dahlonega, which is the site of the first major gold rush in our country; only about 25 miles over the mountain from Vogel.

RE: New warning for pet owners!

My little JRT loves peanut butter and only kind we will give her is Smuckers Natural - no additives, just peanuts and tiny bit of salt. It's also the only peanut butter we will eat! It does require refrigeration after opening.

RE: rhubarb pie

When I make rhubarb pie I use half strawberries - great combination. Since I've never taken Tums am not sure what they would add to the pie. But am curious??
